I'm interested to start reading reviews for this record.. Ian Cohen will write something somewhere about it somewhere and he will have some interesting things to say about it for sure

I mean, if I'm playing something right before I go to bed I'll play it quieter, but it's never like "this album is a quiet album" for me. I listen to so many singer songwriter albums and delicate country records and I almost always prefer them louder. They just feel more lush and immersive to me that way, especially if I'm driving.

The beginning and end of the narrative arc of the record. The idea that goodness is brief and ends abruptly and that time is not linear. Also it was funny

Well there we have it guys.

imo Housebroken is a poorly written song that hurt fans I cared about. So I regret that.

I love how Christian can balance the immaculate tightrope of serious, thought provoking poet and goofy, fun loving twenty something. They are the type of person I strive to be.

The idea that goodness is abrupt and short lived is really interesting and expressed really well on here. We get a microcosm of that with "Soft Animal" by the time we're introduced to the deer, this pure, frail, beautiful thing, it's taken away from us abruptly through gunfire.

God damn I love this album. Little details like this leave a lot to be unpacked but deliver such a satisfying listen.

I wouldn't say they're trying to tie them together as much as they're marking them. It's definitely not the same kind of thing they did on Home.

Chris seems to like The Microphones and Mount Eerie a lot. Definitely think the interludes are probably influenced by them now.

Someone asked if there were any cut songs that would be released and Christian said "No" but isnt the b-side to that 7" called "Rain" or something?

Could be. I was thinking it might also be an acoustic/different take version of "Sun".
