Yakuza 0 is spectacular. Fantastic start to the series too. Kiwami is a remake of the first yakuza, and Kiwami 2 (remake of Yakuza 2) is coming later this year. There is absolutely no better time to get into the series. Fantastic games, utterly bonkers, but fantastic.

So yea GoW is amazing.

 

I've been sick all day so haven't got to play nearly enough God of War. Not super into the new combat yet but really like everything else.

 

I think the combat is more fun than the old games but I just know there will be like a million things I can do but constantly forget about

 

I'm sure it's partly because I'm bad and keep pressing the wrong buttons plus I haven't learned much extra stuff yet but I just feel like I'm just stumbling through most fights. The first two boss fights felt so long and clunky to me.

I always loved the Blades of Chaos and all the other weapons and magic you could get in the old games.

 

The first two bosses I found pretty cool as tutorial bosses. Teaching you dodging and parrying respectively.

I was never a huge fan of the originals. I enjoyed them but never truly loved them.

 

Finally started playing and my PS4 sounds like a jet engine. Honestly got super worried something was going to break, the fan was that loud...

Opening is fucking awesome though. Just beaten the second tutorial boss and I am totally on board. Would it be totally weird if I said it feels a bit Uncharted-like?

 

I think maybe I've just been playing bad since I've been ill and that's made it seem less smooth than it is. Hopefully when I get good I can appreciate it more.

 

I thought my PS4 was unusually loud, lol.

It's definitely Naughty Dog esque.

 

It's 9:30 in the morning and there is a line of fifty people in front of a Pachinko arcade.
