I only slightly familiar with them, but Drab Majesty is pretty cool. Significantly "less heavy" than Deafheaven, but they fit the "gaze-y" vibe. Kinda 80s sounding.

 

Anyone seen complete vinyl pressing info? All I've found is that the Deathwish clear version is limited to 500. Looks like other variants are pink (Hello Merch store), black (Kingsroad store), and red (Kingsroad store), but no pressing info on those.

 

there's also a green/black version in the UK store. imagine there'll be a yellow one that's either a tour press or indie store perss too

 

Upon a few more listens this track has some serious roads to Judah vibes

 

Extremely excited that Drab Majesty is opening on tour, they put out an excellent record last year

 

I need to revisit that again soon.

 

It's mad underrated just because how much better they got on the next two records but people forget how fully formed they were even on that first album

that sounds about how i used to time my walk to class in joyce manor albums

though this is...quite different

 

there are some tracks on that album that are up there among the rest of their discography - violet and unrequited in particular.

the new song has grown on me a bit...just a lot of other things coming out right now that makes it a bit harder to keep it in rotation.

 

I’ve listened to the new song about 5 times times and it gets better with each listen, just watched the video and fell even more in love when I saw the shih-tzu around 5:10 mark lol.

 

Violet is still one of my favorite songs. Wish they would dust it off live. Haven’t seen them play it in around 6 years.

 

Just bought two tix to see them. Hopefully I actually get to go. Currently have other plans
