I wanna feel like I feel when I'm asleep. Prestigious

Didn't realize not everyone was into this album. It's easily my favorite of theirs.

This album is second to Able Bodies for me and I love both. Although Absent Sounds is oddly my most played FIL record by far.

The other albums are more interesting lyrically, and the hooks are better. More dynamic overall too. I just think the songwriting on this took a backseat to all the panning effects and ambient delay stuff.

Absent Sounds is my favorite lyrically and probably overall too, but I love the atmosphere/mood EFBN puts you in. Perfect for the fall

Love absent sounds, the lyrics and writing were really helpful to me during the time of its release, so it just stuck with me more. Able bodies comes in second , EFBN was just a bit too bloated for me, cut out a couple tracks and it would have been more impactful imo

Seriously that album was my anthem when it came out. Ghost, Breathe, Sleeping Limbs, basically every song hit me so hard.

I really really love the latter half of EFBN. From Feel Love onward I'm totally engulfed in the sound he was going for. Nome, Come Back, Lose Myself, ugh all the feels.

I went to Colorado last year and got high for my first (and so far only) time. My buds and I then listened to Absent Sounds and it blew my fucking mind. I think it's my favorite now just from that experience.

  11. I think I still like Absent Sounds a little more, but EFBN has much more replay value, if that makes any sense. Like, it’s an album I can throw on whenever and for however long and always enjoy it, but AS sort of demands me to be in a certain mood

I get that. The atmosphere it builds makes it easy to just have on and then all of a sudden you hear a part you haven't really paid attention to before and you're just like "Damn".

  13. Yeah, exactly. It’s a really great “vibe” record if you’re just wanting some non-committal noise going on in the background, but also is super immersive and layered for those in-depth listens when you want something sort of unique or slightly challenging. Whereas, AS is still engaging and a great listen, but due to its more straightforward nature has a lot more in common with other indie rock records, and therefore has more to compete with for my spare listening time.

Next Show: Jamie xx -- 1/12

I honestly can't decide between their 4 albums. EFBN didn't click at first, but I love it now too.

I think their debut is clearly last, but it’s still good. Definite jams on it, but then after that it gets real tough.

I’ve never listened to it. I was under the impression it’s like just a solo project basically?

Publications don’t act like Wooden Legs even exists which is a huge shame cause it’s great. Definitely his weakest, but still really really good.

I think I first heard the debut (which I guess I can’t call the debut anymore!!) when it was offered as a free download. And took it from there...! I’ll check it out.
