I'm still bummed I didn't go to that show to experience the awkwardness haha. Glad they figured everything out though, seemingly. Now I have another chance to finally see them.

 

New record September, p sure that's been said but I'll confirm it

 

They just put out a mixtape of them covering songs up on Spotify and Apple Music, it's pretty rad

 

They put that out originally on record store day last Black Friday

Yeah, I was able to interview James before their Chicago show and he said they would have it out then on Polyvinyl. Can't wait!

I think new one was more rock-ish, less shoegazey? that's how it felt to me... eps had better songwriting too, I'd say

This bands antics kind of remind me of Death Grips.

I too can't tell the difference between any of their releases or even songs tbh. They're fine rock/punk songs but that's about it.

 

I feel like they're a very special band actually, just something about them to me that feels very important.

 

Damn, JP's leaving the band:

He was one of my favorite drummers, hopefully him leaving won't affect the band's sound that much.

I keep forgetting that they already have a new album coming out. Hell yeah.

 

The new record is called "A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings" and is out September 23rd.

I love the single, still typical Beach Slang stuff but not the same as their previous songs.

What a wonderful statement for a really unfortunate situation. Don't dig the new record much, but I love James' attitude towards things and will continue to see them live no matter how many dud records are to come.
