everyone here is talking about how excited they are about Overwatch, and I'm here waiting for TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan.

 

I'm looking forward to TMNT as well but not Overwatch.

Never played anything by PlatinumGames, are they all pretty similar?

It seems like licensed Platinum Games are more in line with old school beat'em up arcade games.

I actually just recently picked up the Legend of Korra during a PSN sale, and am really enjoying it.

The non- licensed Platinum Games can vary greatly, from horror, to fps.

About half way through UC4, loving every second. Cannot wait to go back through it actually. The set pieces are just awesome.

Nameless King in Dark Souls is such an SOB. I might be a bit under leveled at 78 but it's still some garbage.

Either way I'm probably picking up Doom and Overwatch this week. Also probably grab VC Remastered and Last Blade 2. Guilty Gear and Odin Sphere out soon too. What a time! So many games with E3 around the corner.

Did you ever play Devil May Cry 1 or 3?

 

Nope, never played any of the DMC games.

 

They're character action games. Stylistic fighting, with a mixture of range and melee attacks. They're based around crazy combos and cool techniques. Platinum games are probably the most in depth combat in gaming.

 

Got a Wii U Pro controller primarily for emulation and it seems a real nice controller.

 

Hmmm, i'm pretty bad at keeping combos in the Arkham games so I'll probably be pretty awful at this but the TMNT fan in me makes me intrigued.

 

You should be fine, button-mashing is actually pretty handy for their games.

 

5 lasers down in The Witness and i'm definitely loving it! The Jungle area was the most difficult so far that I had to get help with the answers because I just couldn't do it. Hoping I won't have to do those types of puzzles again. Love that I can kinda casually play through this and pick it up after being away for a few days and pick up where I left off without having to try and remember things.

 

Just played Rocket League and had a heart stopping moment. 3-2 down with 5 seconds left, dribbled past the two players and my friend smacked the ball in before the ball touched the ground on 0:00. Then we won overtime after and it was such a good feeling.

 

Me too, they're fun anyway. Accessible to even the most combo allergic player but deep enough to provide the best combat in video games.
