Just had my last bottle of Grimm Blueberry Pop from last June. It held up pretty well

 

I had the best Hefeweizen tonight. Unfortunately no one I know likes them, everyone thinks they taste like bubble gum or raw meat (???)

 

LOVE hefe's. Bought two hefe's tonight actually.

 

It was Ayinger Privatbrauer, I had never heard of it but loved it.

You have great taste! No idea where people get the raw meat essence from.

 

the Ayinger is one that I picked up. Also grabbed a weihenstephaner hefe as well. I was looking for classic old-world versions of hefe's for some studying.

 

I haven’t heard of that one either, but I’ll have to try. They don’t seem to be super popular here, I’m generally stuck with a franziskaner (meh) or a
hofbrauhaus Selection. Neither of which are very good.

Weihenstephaner Hefe is really good.

 

I really miss Edelweiss, haven’t been able to find it since I studied in Austria.

Damn, I need to brew Biere de Miel this summer.

 

Off Color here does a biere de miel and like all their other sparsely used styles it's a goodin'

 

My wife bought tickets for a beer fest in Cleveland in a couple weeks! Looks like it'll be fun.

So bummed I'm going to miss that. My wife is out of town that weekend.

So many good local breweries going to be there: Sibling Reverly, Great Lakes, Royal Docks, Market Garden, The Brew Kettle, Lager Heads, Jackie O's, Fat Head's, Thirsty Dog.

 

I drink this like 3 times a week at school. It’s just so god damn easy to drink lol. An easy go to if I want an IPA but wanna keep it light

I'm bummed that I'm missing the one this summer at Nautica. We have a wedding in upstate New York that weekend so it's going to be a no go.

Have you ever been to that one? I went last year and it was pretty great.

The save-the-date says Vernon Center. I don't know how big of a town that is. I think it's something like 35 or 40 miles east of Syracuse

 

Well never mind then, didn't know if it was gonna be in the Hudson Valley area, because I would've recommended going to Suarez.

 

We might try and go to that this year. Couldn’t go last year because wife was prego.

First time at Tired Hands in like 4 months. Wallet and liver be damned, I need to get back to coming here like weekly.

 

I'm actually going for the first time this weekend. Any release I should keep my eye on? Hear the food is good there too.

 

Food is great at both locations. The Frequency Illusion: Merlot on tap at the Ferm is amazing and I think they still have it in bottles at the general store as well.
