The Dream Thread

I had one of the craziest dreams while on vacation a few weeks ago. It was one of those dreams where you think you woke up, but it's still a dream. But it happened three or four times in the same dream. Everytime I "woke up," the dream got scarier and scarier. The clock said the same time each time I woke up in the dream, too. I woke up screaming for my fiancé, it was pretty scary. And when i actually woke up, the time on the clock was the same as in the dream. I had him pinch me a few times to make sure it still wasn't the dream. Super messed up!

 

I need to start writing this stuff down as soon as I woke up so it doesn't get foggy.

First part seemed like the town I live in. The layout was the same but it looked completely different, like it was in another country. I've been seeing old friends a lot in dreams lately and this was no different. I don't remember anymore details on that one.
Second part (I may have woken up in between these, but the imagery was similar), I went on a walk somewhere with tons of boulders and running water - think Hawaii. Then I walked into an old house. There was an older man and someone around my age inside. The older man handed the other person a kitchen knife and told him to take me outside to get rid of me. Dude showed me the way out and told me to leave. I must have woken up after that because I don't remember anything else. It wasn't a nightmare by any means, either - it was completely calm.

 

i get tons of nightmares although recently i was prescribed Remeron to help mitigate that. haven't had any the past few days but we will see!

 

Had one that I was a luchador that breaks guys arms. lol

 

Had a dream where I took a test and then I turned the test in. Then once I left the room, I realized that I didn't look at pages 6-9 of the test.

 

That wasn't a dream. That wasn't a dream!

 

@muttley Yes it was, but I was worried at first lol.

 

Heard two guys talking outside my window. One of them was saying how he always "hits this house" and the other started taunting me through my open window because he couldn't see that I was pretending to be asleep (worst burglars ever). I went into the living room and greeted one of them with a fire poker and chased him out like a G. The other followed suit.

I followed them back to their place and took photos of all of the stuff they had taken before (craftiest burglars ever). I made my way outside to call the police and Adam fucking Savage walked by. We chatted for a few about the show ending. Then I looked at the park across the street to see a bunch of illusive elephants that I wasn't allowed to photograph.

That's not even the end of the dream, but I'll stop it there. I feel like there's LSD in my water supply or something.

 

I've been keeping track of my dreams for a while now. I'll open to a random passage and share the absurdities that go on inside my mind:

-Two instances: inner and outer; inner was heavier while outer was lighter
-Inner: Controlled a Star Wars-esque spaceship and fought off enemies inside a doughnut-like structure
-Outer: Was part of a party of warriors fighting an enemy on a series of floating islands; the Captain of the group told
us that instead of giving us better weapons, he would give us better advice; proceeded to hop along the series
of floating islands until we reached the main island; the main island resembled a small village with a church, a couple
of houses, and a cave-like structure; found a jigsaw piece in the cave-like structure; tried to dig a hole before the
enemy came

 

I don't know why, he's not even my type, but I had a sex dream about Chad Michael Murray last night and I feel dirty.

 

he's one of those guys i momentarily find kinda cute but then the more i look at him the grosser i feel

 

I know him as "a guy that was in a movie with Hillary Duff that I didn't see"

 

He was also Lucas Scott for 6 years on One Tree Hill. He was also on Gilmore Girls for like the first season.

 

He was on the cover of my girlfriend's agenda book back in middle school. She loves OTH, so naturally I've seen almost all of it.

 

Ah ok, those are shows I know nothing about

 

Basically woke up in some scaffolding/building under construction in South Korea. It's like I said, "let's go there," and was immediately transported without luggage, in the clothes I was already wearing.

 

Left in the middle of a Weatherbox show to go across the street and get some Sonoran hotdogs. I swear to god, that was the crux of this dream lol.

Was also bit by a rattlesnake while cleaning up a backyard that I've never seen before.

 

I had a dream there was an actual war on Absolutepunk.

 

I had a dream that I saw the Used live in some tiny club with like 6 people total in the audience, but the best dream plot twist was that Geoff Rickly was the frontman for some reason even tho Bert was there, and I got really excited. I haven't listened to the Used in like 10 years so I didn't know the words well to sing along, but the further along the dream went the band pretty much morphed into Thursday anyway and it was great.

 

Last night I had a dream where I went out for brunch with Amy Poehler, Zach Braff, Donald Faison, John C. McGinley, and I think Rob Gronkowski? There was a super long wait for this place, but Amy got us in ahead of everyone. I ordered some sort of caramel pancakes.

 

Now that is creepy.

 

Yeah it felt weird. We all broke off into factions.

 

Had a dream I was struck by lightning last night. That was cool.
