Yea, great review! Really dives into the records narrative while also highlighting the albums musical highlights.

 

I didn't know I wanted a song like Candace from Animal Flag, but I'm glad it exists.

 

Beginning of Candace still reminds me of flesh without blood

The chorus reminds me of something too but I can’t put my finger on it

this album reminds me of another band, but it just keeps slipping my mind. anyone has any idea who im referring to? maybe it's just a familiar sound

 

did you listen to backwards dancer last year? I get vibes from that sometimes with the shakier vocals. also Connor Oberst. FTR: I think this is much better than that backwards dancer album.

 

Unfortunately it's not them, I'll keep looking though.

Void ripper has a really unique sound, that's why it's bothering me so much

 

I've only heard Fair so fair, but I got a real Athletics (and a bit Moving Mountains) feeling. Not sure if the rest of the album sounds like that though.

 

Void Ripper has the best riff that Sabbath never wrote.

First time listening to a full release from them, this is very good

I highly recommend a First listen with headphones for this.

 

Headphones with the volume up - I definitely had it too low on my first listen and missed most of what’s going on in these songs.

We’ve really been spoiled for choice with great, dense, dark rock records this year. Looking forward to diving into this one more.

 

That lume record is shaping up to be really good as well.

You could download the leak but that hurts the band. I’d say you could message the band and see if they would let you pay pal them directly for a download

 

If you already purchased this you may be out of luck but I’ve heard they are transitioning this over to only being part of TC, it’ll be on their web store and everything.

 

just FYI we are working to transfer this to a 3crown release, obviously hard to pivot on such short notice. we are still in the recoup phase anyway so cam wasn’t/isn’t making money off anyone buying and supporting this record
