  1. London 11/4/18 Setlist

    Pyramids of Salt
    I Don't Like Who I Was Then
    Thanks for the Ride
    It Must Get Lonely
    Cul-De-Sac
    We Look Like Lightning
    Coffee Eyes
    Came Out Swinging
    Dismantling Summer
    Don't Let Me Cave In
    A Song for Ernest Hemingway
    The Devil in My Bloodstream
    Sister Cities
    Raining in Kyoto
    There, There
    Cardinals
The Ocean Grew Hands to Hold Me

    Passing Through a Screen Door
    Cigarettes & Saints

No Upsides songs in the set. Expected, honestly. I wonder how big a pool of songs they're drawing from on this tour and what will be rotated out. 19 SONGS!

I hope they keep Ocean as the pre-encore song. That's exactly what I was hoping for.
    Also cul-de-sac!!

that must be their longest set ever. my show was 13 songs lol still too much NCTH, drop IDLWIWT and TFTR for WSP and another Suburbia song and it'd be perfect imo

    fucking Cul-de-Sac, man

That Set was so good, I was so surprised when I heard that riff for COS so early but it fantastic.

A shame they didn’t mention anything though. I literally had to tell people who had arrived in SN merch that they had cancelled and why.

    forbidden chalice.

Ocean finally clicked for me. I was reading the lyrics and the description on Genius mentioned how Soupy had a realization of how this is the song he's been trying to write for years, and for a brief second I was reminded of titan closers such as JEW's 23, and it all made sense to me.

(not saying that Ocean was inspired by 23, I just wanted to point out how my train of thought to songs that I consider monumental made me appreciate the efforts of the band and gave me new light to the song)

I'd maybe switch out I Don't Like Who I Was Then for an Upsides song like Melrose or Washington Square, but other than that setlist's practically perfect.

I Don't Like Who I Was Then is actually my favorite song from the band. The "You deserve more from me" section always makes me choke up. It's a song I relate to a lot growing up and transitioning into early adulthood.

Also nobody mentioned that Dismantling Summer, Don't Let Me Cave In, and A Song For Ernest Hemingway were played acoustically. Setlist could be different on the US tour since they did the Burst & Decay tour here.

I can relate to that song on so many levels.

Made a bunch of friends over the past year and am thankful for them for putting up with my fuckups. But god, how I so badly want to be stronger for them and not the other way around.

Not really a big fan of that setlist, especially the order and can definitely do without acoustic stuff. Hope the US tour is different

Listened to Washington Square Park after spinning this another round and I nearly fell apart. The "if you get a chance to win, take it" in the context of their trajectory is especially emotional.

Yeah The Upsides is really good and gets crapped on now for some reason. I wish they’d keep some of those songs around live but it’s their choice.

I actually love I Don’t Like Who I Was Then, but could definitely do without Earnest Hemingway or Thanks For The Ride and would be disappointed to not get even one Upsides song.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

So anyone else get huge Funeral for a Friend vibes from that heavy bit at the end of We Look Like Lightning?

  22. This is a hot take but I would honestly be ok with them dropping Raining in Kyoto for an older song.

Hemingway and TFTR are the section of that album I always skip. I would say I love about half of that album, am indifferent to about 3-4 songs, and then there’s only three I truly don’t like. Those two, and I Wanted So Badly To Be Brave (which I just find really hard to listen to because of its subject matter)

WSP should forever be a staple. And I’m honestly cool with no Local Man at this point
