It's tough because every year it seems like the cavs and jackets play at the same times during the week. I usually would flip back and forth between the two. I really like the flow of a good hockey game. I tend to follow them like a Cleveland team. I can't give up any sports and I've tried haha. Now that I am in Chicago, I didn't get to watch as many games unless I pulled a stream up, which I don't really enjoy doing.

Bridgestone Arena is empty tonight. Lol. I believe that Friday start series was Preds/Ducks two years ago.

 

It doesn’t get bigger than four games a night after Thursday though. Still getting the damn Golf Channel games

I think dom showed that the biggest difference in his analysis is between TBL and njd. Yet that seems to be an upset favorite in the twitterverse

 

Tampa's PK and goaltending have been quite bad the 2nd half of the season...that is going to be the key for the Devils. Tampa's PP is also lethal, so need to stay out of the box

hopefully Kinkaid doesn't turn back into a pumpkin just yet

 

Interested to see how far these teams that were in the bottom 4 last year/non existent can go this year...

NJD have a tough go at TBL in the first round, but should be a good match up.

VGK, crazy but also not crazy they've done so well. Fleury plays well then they have a shot to go deep.

Colorado with a hell of a turn around, but I think NSH knocks them out.

And there should be no secret how I think Philly is going to fare in RD1...*ahem*

 

Another dumb/annoying NHL schedule thing I just noticed - 7pm start in Winnipeg tonight. 9:30pm start in Nashville tomorrow night. Makes sense.

 

That is why I love being on the west coast. I couldn't fathom going to a sporting event that doesn't even begin until 9-9:30PM.

Capitals over Blue Jackets in 6 games
Penguins over Flyers in 5 games

Predators over Avalanche in 5 games
Jets over Wild in 6 games
Kings over Golden Knights in 7 games
Sharks over Ducks in 7 games

I hope I'm wrong about the Capitals/Blue Jackets series...

Totally forgot I had tickets to see Lorde tonight so there's me missing night one of the playoffs like an idiot.

 

Seeing Lorde is way more unique than seeing Game 1 of the first round. Totally worth seeing Lorde.

 

A couple years ago I missed watching Game 1 of the NBA Finals (2016 Cavs vs. Warriors) to go to a show instead. I bought the tickets three or four months in advance and I didn't even think about potential sports conflicts.

It was The Dear Hunter and O'Brother though so totally worth it!

Yeah I just looked it up and I bought the tickets for tonight in June of 2017 so I'm kinda not as mad at myself for forgetting now. Someone talk trash about Pierre and Milbury for me please.
