wow, killer DLM lineup

 

Doug spoiled us by doing at least one show every week the last few months of 2017 but if the occasional podcast these days has these guests, then yes please keep doin it

 

I had kind of worn thin on DLM, especially when Trey, Jacob and Geoff were the only guests he'd have on. But now that we're only getting sporatic episodes with exceptional lineups, I'm back in.

 

It’s kinda strange that all the Earwolf shows this week have ads for a single episode of the network’s flagship show

 

DLM is great with great guests, Pete on this show got me into podcasts.

 

Can't wait to hear Pete derail the show. The contentious relationship between Doug and PEte is always hilariosu to me. His solo interview/sech on Getting Doug is one of my favorites of all-time.

I wonder if the last shithead on DLM was actually TJ Miller and Doug just shortened it.

 

So I watched this and wished it was just John interviewing and/or talking to Cardi. Why is Jimmy even there. Aside from it being his own show and all.

 

I’m guessing there’s not chance of a TJ Miller comes back to reunite with Pete and Jeff Garlin.

 

Seriously, he makes it as boring as possible. The two of them without him reining it in could have been incredible

 

Right, he kept interrupting or trying to stop their banter like hush jimmy go take a bathroom break or something ur not needed

 

Yeah Mulaney would make an incredulous face and want to go into more detail and Fallon would change the subject to something mundane but he sucks so idk why I'm surprised

Give the two of them a show tho plz

 

I have been listening less and less recently but damn this weeks Harmontown was rough! My day was redeemed though by a great Threedom and a killer DLM.

 

Does anyone know what Scott's "eatin' ain't cheatin" saying comes from? I happened to watch an episode of King of Queens yesterday and Kevin James said it but it can't be that.

 

It's either Bill Clinton or Michael Douglas.

 

Yea, it sounds like he's imitating Clinton and maybe it's from how he didn't consider a BJ to be sex.

 

It's a bit he and Paul started doing I think when they were traveling together a while back, but its a Bill Clinton impression.

They explain it somewhere, I think maybe on a Best Of episode.

 

I recently signed up for stitcher premium and I’ve been listening to random old episodes of CBB for most of the day
just listened to Farts and Procreation which was unsurprisingly amazing

 

Realized recently with the discussion of earwolf not paying guests because their huge corporation owner controls that and has no interest in it - earwolf/midroll/Scott is basically in the exact same situation with Scripps that @Jason Tate was in with Spin

man, i never thought of it until the clip above, but is there anyone in the history of time more suited to be the best talk show host than John Mulaney??

 

I dunno... we gave him a chance with a sitcom and look how that turned out.

I kid, I kid... Mulaney had potential

 

his jokes just really didn't translate well to the sitcom format imo
