Seth Rogen's Hilarity For Charity dropped! No surprise that John Mulaney's the funniest comic on the show. The opening bit with Nick Kroll was great.

Some really cringey gay jokes from Michael Che, and my girlfriend and I found Michelle Wolff to be really unfunny and annoying. Justin Roiland's cartoon was... Uhh.. something. I love Sarah Silverman, but her jokes really fell flat.

Had to put it on pause while my girlfriend runs out real quick, but so far it definitely has its ups and downs.

  7. Letterman's Jay-Z ep and Rogen's Hilarity for Charity were both kind of underwhelming.

Hilarity for Charity had some moments. Kinda lived and died with how you feel about Rogen in general.

Got me very excited for the new Mulaney special!

  10. Pretty ambivalent towards Rogen. His bits were okay, I guess. I was expecting a little more from Wolff and Silverman. I guess a charity event can't get too political without potentially being divisive, but still. Mulaney was good. Haddish killed it, though.

Mulaney was the best part of Hilarity for Charity by FAR

Edit: I still have like 20 min left actually so I haven’t heard Haddish yet

Edit 2: She was probably the next best act. Entertaining enough special, great cause, cool to see Craig Robinson with his band.

Promised my SO we'd watch Hilarity together, but we are both huge Mulaney fans so that is good to hear. His Chalamet bit was posted on Netflix's instagram account and now I can't wait for Kid Gorgeous. Anyone want to post the hits from Hilarity? I don't think I'd want to watch the entire thing.

Also I'm watching first of James Acaster's special, and it's pretty hilarious. The entire undercover cop strech is ridiculous. I have no idea how some comedians can come up with such absurd skits like that and just nail it. Definitely recommended.

Honestly, the only really good parts of Hilarity for me were the opening bit with Seth/Nick Kroll and The Devil, and Mulaney's bit. Jeff Goldblum's bit was a little fun though. There's another really funny skit with Seth and Sacha Baron Cohen. Not a big Post Malone fan, but he does a solid performance with Craig Robinson's band playing the music. I was bummed that Craig really had nothing to do with the show other than playing background music, he never even talks or has any jokes, just sits there quietly playing like bands on a late night show. The Muppets are in it and it feels kinda lame and very out of place for such a raunchy show. Sarah Silverman has one pretty good joke about babies, and then the rest of her bit it is really "meh".

There was a lot of awkward silence for a lot of the comedians' jokes.

Sarah Silverman was wearing a cardigan that looked super comfy and that I wanted to curl up and nap in so there's that

Mulaney was really the only standup to get a reaction from the crowd, the rest were all pretty aggressive with their jokes and the audience didn't seem to know how to react.

  20. I know of her from her appearances on the Daily Show. I never really noticed anything wrong with her voice, though.

It was just super nasally and grating. I find a lot of comedians to have obnoxious voices tho and then a lot of them shout on top of it and my ears cannot.

It may be because I'm young but why the hell do the Muppets continue to show up in things geared for adults? They've never done anything but slow the pace down to a grinding halt for me.

I enjoyed the rest of the special though but I'm a huge fan of Seth and his friends. Mulaney definitely was my favorite part though (along with Ike Barinholtz as the devil), his Charlie & the Chocolate Factory bit had me dying. I've said similar stuff in the past and it was so validating to hear the funniest working comedian echo my sentiments lol

I really hated the idea of a Sabrina reboot because so many reboots are terrible but it being by the Riverdale people is encouraging

After finishing Everything Sucks I felt like it doesn't need another season if it hadn't been for those last few seconds where the dad knocks on the door. If I ignore that part I think the whole thing wraps up well as it is.
