AMIRITE?

 

I don't have anything to add in the way of predictions but just wanted to sub and also to say oh great, I guess we are facing our dragon in round 1, as Steve Dangle would say, and I am very nervous about it but also cautiously confident in my team. All I want is to make it to round 2, just one round further than last year and I'd be happy. (Of course I'd also be happy if we made it further but there are big bad scary Bruins in the way and I have painful memories.)

 

I'm traveling through France for work, but god damnit we play Boston? How did Boston lose to Florida? Ugh. At least we can potentially redeem ourselves from that fucking Game 7 meltdown...

Edit: I realize that the playoffs are a different beast, but I feel decent about Toronto's chances in round one since we were 3-1-0 this season vs. Boston

It's funny, Vegas has had an incredible first season run and have given me no reason to doubt them, but I can't see them getting past a crazy experienced LA team. Probably would have said the same thing if they played San Jose or Anaheim as well.

We are also due for a shock or two in the first round, which is why I think the Devils and Wild somehow pull out series wins. Tampa has been mediocre at best lately (and 0-3 against the Devils) and the Wild have flown under the radar being sneaky good all season. Won't surprise me if the Avs make a push on the Preds too. They 're an underrated bunch.

Of course, I'm likely way wrong on this.
