I only played Spyro at Walmart

Spyro looks so good. Can't wait to play that.

 

I played it once on ps1

 

It's significantly better than Crash I'll give you that

 

I will say, like, yeah at the time you really can't compare anything to the cultural impact of Super Mario 64. However, the Spyro trilogy was pretty mind-blowing in its visuals, characters, gameplay, world-building, level design, etc. Super Mario 64 may have had more overall impact, but in my opinion it's kind of hard to argue that the Spyro games, especially 2 and 3, weren't at least near, if not fully on, the same level of fun/quality.

 

I think younger me just always thought they looked too much like they were aimed at 3 year olds

 

They don't play as well as Mario or even.. sigh.. Banjo. It's a fun universe though.

 

Crash > Spyro > Mario64 > Banjo

 

I’ve only ever played the first one but yeah this is my impression of the series as well. That game has an early-childhood feel between the voices, characters, and animations.

That’s a hot take I’m not on board with.

 

I came here just to talk about how excited I am for Spyro Remaster. Without a doubt my favorite game growing up. I will be holing up in my house the weekend that comes out. It looks so good and I can't wait to run around and unfreeze dragons.

But I also want to say that Far Cry 2 was a chore to get through for me. 3 was the best, 4 dragged on. and I'm not sure I'm really interested in 5.

And I really hope Spider-Man ends up as good as it looks. It seems like it could be a lot of fun.

 

I’m so excited for Spyro. Those games were some of the best moments of my childhood. Looks like the perfect upgrade

 

I enjoyed Crash more than Spyro as a kid but now looking back will back @The Lucky Moose's opinion that Spyro is better

 

Crash has 4 really good games while Spyro only has 3. At least I think so

 

The Elihah Wood games are supposed to be pretty solid.

 

I'll probably play Spyro so there's that

Chances of Spyro coming to Switch?

 

Confirmed, think it's a timed exclusive to PS4 though
