The Get Up Kids are doing a west coast tour in June and an east coast tour in July. The former is with The Casket Lottery, and the latter is with Racquet Club and Ageist.

 

This is the first time in a long time TGUK are skipping Cleveland

 

Just bought my ticket for the Boston date. See y'all there.

(also going to NFG, Turnstile, and UO (providence) coming up in the next few months if anyone wants to meet up. flying solo)

 

Gonna guess they're playing Riot Fest, and they'll play there on the way there or back.

 

Truuuuuu hopefully not while I'm at Riot Fest haha

i know personal accounts from a friend about some shitty things one of the members did, and one of the other ones that's close with him

Random but my first "show" was Dads/Have Mercy in 2012 when they were teasing that album. No one came since they played 20 minutes away from a Title Fight secret show.

i saw have mercy play with modern baseball, prawn, old gray, julia brown, and i kill giants at a packed tiny house show

When I saw HM recently at TLA, their vocalist said that they’ve been a band for “10 years “

 

Definitely a stretch - Brian is the only original member, having joined in 2010 and everyone else currently in the band came on in like 2016...

 

i have never been able to get into have mercy. Are they popular? they seem to be one of the few bands from like 2012ish emo/pop punk to still be kicking around. guessing they're not doing too hot if they're doing a 5 year anny tour, but the openers on that tour are pretty strong. is it just one guy now?

 

Their first album rocks. That’s the one they’re doing the tour for.

 

They draw surprisingly well here still

 

That's the only one I've listened to haha.
I seem to remember them coming here around the same time with I wanna say koji and Ivy League TX? down with koji, but the rest wasn't too hot for me.
