MY FAVORITE DAY OF THE YEAR!

 

Does anyone remember the band Rooney? I've been meaning to check them out for 15 years They came out during that surge of "The" bands. Hives, Strokes, Vines, etc etc For some reason I got into those types of bands the older I got. When I was 16 in 2003, I was all about pop-punk, 90's rock, hip-hop, screamo and not much else!

This is back in the day where a lot of bands if not most of bands I found out about were from commercials on MTV2, Fuse, etc. for records being released, remember those?

I remember seeing a commercial for Taking Back Sunday- Tell All Your Friends, and they couldn't have made that record look any worse in the commercial. Very funny, now that it's one of the my favorite records of that time period.

I'm pretty sure I saw that same commercial haha. The first time I played Tell All Your Friends, my mom was like "what are you listening too??" and I clearly remember just rolling my eyes. It came with an extra disk of music videos from June (who I think they were trying to push, but I never listened to them) and a whole bunch of bands, but I'm almost positive I lost it. cue digging through all of my cds to see if it is actually in there

 

Junes first record was actually really good! Their second record was a HUGE drop off though.

Saw them with The Classic Crime, Halifax, and So They Say once! That’s a blast from the past

Yep! Saw them open for TBS when they were touring prior to Louder Now’s release and have been a fan ever since!

 

I recommended a So They Say record to @JediMasterKevo182 in CMCS a month or so ago!

 

I really liked Halifax
