competitive week. i'm pleased to see the wye oak recognition at least

cool seeing all the golden west mentions in the post though, that place rules

 

finally was able to get a solid listen and yeah, this is incredible. there's a lot to unpack.

 

Just got my vinyl. Unfortunately the entire top left corner of the sleeve is bent pretty significantly. I actually can’t believe the vinyl is still intact. Gonna email SC for a replacement. Hopefully they pressed a couple extra tri colors.

This has been on my radar. I only casually got into a few songs from their last album this past year. Two songs into the stream and I'm sold. The instrumentation is so groovy and I'm really feeling it. Really infectious guitars.

 

This record legit sounds and feels like an instant, modern classic.

let's just say that the inside jacket is incredible, really stiff, nice jacket. my tricolor striped record is very pretty too!

holy fucking shit fuck my life

so i take a listen to the record, it's great. i'm trying to put it back away in the paper sleeve and it's really tight. it slips of my hands, falls to the crowd. there are two small scratches on it. i test the record to see how it is. first scratch is just at the outro of the last song on the first side, just like little cracks for like 5 second at the end, not too bad.

the second scratch is at my favorite part of the record, at the change up of abel, for like 30 seconds. fuck me so hard, i hate everything

 

Haven’t been able to decipher any lyrics yet, but if I play it backwards it just says “pop tarts are ravioli, change my mind” a bunch so idk

 

Genius has a pretty comprehensive attempt going so far

 

I keep trying to reply with a photo of the lyric sheet but I can't figure out how to use spoilers on an attachment. Sorry!
