I just instinctively and maybe dumbly spent almost $500 on Sasquatch tickets, a campsite, and a rental car. Is anyone else going? Any tips?

idk there are a lot of potential TFB openers I would much less rather see than Hobo Johnson.

I've seen the front bottoms like 6 times, I think having a weird opener is more incentive to make that #7.

 

The Body/Big|Brave/Lingua Ignota appear to be touring together this summer.

I only went once back in 2010, but I'd suggest getting in line early if there is band you want to see that plays early in the day. It took over an hour to get in when we went in line an hour after doors opened. I missed Mumford and Sons playing on a small stage and was super pissed. Also be prepared to spend 10 bucks per beer unless you sneak booze in. If you attempt to sneak booze in they have crowd monitors that go throughout the crowd to bust people so be discrete. One of the only bummers. Otherwise it's a great festival and the venue is best setting you'll ever see for a show.

 

oh fuck how did i forget, that was my first time seeing/getting into TFB because mansions were my favorite band, haha

tfb/twiabp Was also wild
tfb/cheap girls was less wild
tfb/hold steady/jr battles with craig coming up for twin sized mattress was goat tfb performance.
TFB/elvis depressedly (?)/ the smith street band was another good one. the crowd was not so good though.

they have a pretty good skill at booking lineups haha

I may have been to the YBI show? I remember seeing them around the time that they would've been the same size as the front bottoms. but maybe that was with gulfer or someone. definitely saw tfb at that same venue very near to that time.

My old band opened a date of this tour. TFB were so nice and awesome and drew a huge crowd for being direct support, and all but three people in the crowd left after their set. Cheap Girls looked more miserable on stage that night than any band I’ve ever seen.

 

well, being that the guy from cheap girls is an abuser, looking back i do not feel bad at all

 

Yep, totally agreed. I loved them at the time and felt bad for them that night, but in light of that coming out, I definitely don’t anymore.

 

Yeah, same thing happened where the local and tfb had almost a "Sell out" crowd (it's like a 70 cap), and cheap girls played to like 10 people, including a bunch of people gathering their jackets to take the last metro home. no clue why CG was headlining because it was clear at the time that the front bottoms were much much more popular.

also, forgot about CG guy allegations. guess it's good that they deadlined this one?

 

Not sure if this is an off date or what, but it's May 18 at The Rapids Theatre in Niagara Falls.

 

Pretty decent lineup, I’d go if it was a little more local. Probably the worst big festival I’ve been to, though.
