  1. Kinda? Not all of these guys performing are going to go out of their way to get permission to do certain moves. It's apparently on a show by show basis, and since some wrestlers will work multiple shows they would have to get permission per each show.

And the opponent plays a huge part in being allowed to do whatever banned move.

  2. Piledriver I guess is a no no regardless due to something that happened in the state in 2007. So any variation of that won't happen unless you're in WWE/ROH.

It isn't super surprising since I know Louisiana has some pretty ridiculous MMA rules and haven't adapted anything new since like 2011.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I guarantee those rules won't be followed

  4. Oh there’s no chance lol. I’m curious to see what “punishment” they enforce.

For boxing or MMA you can get you license suspended in the state for X amount of time. But I doubt they made all these guys get a commission license

Most of those rules won’t be enforced Mania weekend. The companies can get prior permission and a rep from the commission to appear at the show and they’ll be good to go. Only thing I could see not being used on the indie shows are the piledrivers, but everything else will be probably be fine

  9. I thought it was funny they classify ROH as a major promotion along with WWE.

Some of those ROH matches are gonna be nuts.

From the original Deadspin article, its one dude running a wrestling gym who is the "commission" for all of these. There's like a 100% chance he's gonna lose that after the weekend with how many people dont follow rules (assuming the wrestling commission cares)

ZSJ fans don't care if there aren't any piledrivers. They just want octopus holds or whatever the fuck. Fucking geeks.
