I actually replaced all the records with GSOI 2.0.

 

Hey man, I loved GSOI at the time. Based on the music released so far, I would definitely prefer Sister Cities, but any new music from you guys would have me excited.

I also feel kind of guilty that I was referencing the album leaking, so I need you to know that I pre-ordered the book/vinyl combo. Can't wait to hear it!

What I am trying to say is: I purchased the album, so if you feel like blessing me with it early, that would be cool.

 

Don’t sweat it. We literally tried to leak ‘we look like lightning’ and everyone was too busy tryna be a pal and not rip it. :x

I imagine someone will post it during or after this weekend.

 

Also can we call GSOI 2.0 "Still Stoked On It!!" or

 

Im surprisingly not clamoring for this like I thought I'd be. I'll have Kacey Musgraves Friday and all the other awesome releases from this year to tide me over two weeks. It'll be worth the wait for this and Underoath I think.

Maybe if I can't distract myself I'll listen ahead but at least I still have 2 copies on pre-order (LP/t-shirt and the Target CD).

 

Same with me and my Underoath review haha, it’ll have been almost a year since I last posted a review on Sputnik once that one goes up.

 

It'll take me some time but I definitly plan on adding this album to the big storyline/odyssey thing i wrote a while back. this album just gives me this sense of satsfaction, narratively. i guess i can expound on that later

 

I wish this album was coming out tomorrow, gonna be hard trying to hold off for a week till I get the book

 

What's the most aggressive song on the album? I'm just curious because Stained Glass Ceilings is probably their most aggressive song as of the last album.

Edit: also which is that song from the trailer?

 

either The Ghosts Of Right Now or the title track. Ghosts has A LOT of Thursday in it, just a heavier atmosphere all around.

its part of the closer. the quieter begining part

 

there arent as many callbacks, kinda like NCTH, but ive caught a couple so far. i wish i had the lyrics but sadly no dice.

 

Oh wow that's going to be nice to listen to. Also, that seems perfect as a closer, has that epic vibe that Funeral or Nothing had on TGG and Suburbia.

 

I think I'll end up listening to it early and defy the creator's intent so I can outline the lyrics first, wonder what they're about, and THEN read the book when I get it

The piano break in Sister Cities was recorded on an actual upright piano. Maybe a little obnoxious for those 4 chords.
