    itchy, tasty Prestigious

    Charlotte's not winning either match

Miz is beating Roode? Why? if that's the case, why not let becky continue to fill in for Charlotte then

  3. because Miz is 100000000000 billion times the wrestler Roode is? the whole MMC was a fucking waste of time anyways but I can guarantee that the finish won't involved Charlotte and Asuka.

Their whole WM build is if Charlotte can conquer the streak so why the fuck would they waste that potential moment on a show that only 70,000 people watch?

i just think if that's the case, if you end with Miz pinning Roode, then I dont understand why you dont just let Becky continue to fill in. Unless they want to use the MMC as a way for them to have a standoff before Mania? They clearly have something planned for the end here.

This entire tournament just to have Miz come out on top? I dont see it at all. If ANYTHING, I can see Roode pinning Miz as an asterik to Asuka's streak.

    Miz winning...it doesnt make sense.

  5. The MMC .... it doesn't make sense

you're overthinking it man - no one is really gonna give two shits if Miz beats Roode and it's really not that ridiculous - he's one of the most celebrated IC champs in recent history and the crowd actually reacts to him. The crowd tonight was fucking dead for Roode's entrance and couldn't care less about Lynch.

and maybe they will have Lynch fill in again next week

the only way to fuck up this whole thing is to give away your finish to the Mania match on a show that 2/3rds of the live crowd leaves before and only 70,000 people watch on facebook.

if the two options are: asuka's wrestlemania worthy three year undefeated streak gets broken on fucking facebook live or she pins charlotte twice in one week - i'm going to go with the second one.

fortunately though those aren't the only two options, as miz and roode exist to distance the finish from the women

you guys are most likely right, i didnt consider this until a few minutes ago, but idk... i just have this feeling that there's a reason why they picked these two teams to be in the final and a reason why the streak has been emphasized.

I can see someone thinking ... lets shock them.

i agree that once the streak was brought up, it sucked a lot of the fun out of this thing btw. Totally unnecessary.

  8. having Asuka lose her streak on facebook live would be an even worse booking decision than having Daniel Bryan turn heel

no no...Daniel turning heel would be worse. I think streak's are made to be broken and shouldn't define a character. It's a crutch. I'm already prepared for the internets explosion when Rousey beats the streak.

I feel like the only outcome for Asuka, where the internet doesn't super cry, is Carmella.

or hey...i mean...you COULD have Charlotte win sunday*. hmmmmm actually... maybe that's where they go with this.

  10. I don't care that Asuka will lose her streak eventually - she should

but to lose it on Facebook Watch in front of 70k people less than a week before Mania is colossally dumb booking

  11. They'll 100% keep Asuka undefeated until she wrestles Rousey sometime in the next year or so. And everyone online is gonna lose it.

you know there are a LOT of "obvious" outcome matches at mania. At least one, two, or three have to go the opposite direction...and maybe Charlotte/Asuka is one of those matches.

  13. I mean a year is still far away - Rousey could be absolutely horrible at Mania this year but she could definitely improve over the year to make it believable next year. Think of all the improvement Elias and Braun made over just a year within the company

  14. Probably a little too obvious this year. It seems pretty likely that every title is going to change hands.

  15. M.Lee

    man, I'm pretty Prestigious

you don't think the internet would be mad if she got cashed in on by a total loser like carmella? or do you think she does a rollins while the match is still going and wins?

  16. all the outcomes at least year's mania were pretty obvious too

the last genuine Mania surprise outcome was Rollins cashing in

  17. the only Mania outcomes last year that weren't super obvious were the tag team match, the us title match, and maybe both women title matches - all the big big matches were super predictable tho

i mean that is a good point...but last years mania sucked

if Nakamura, Asuka, Reigns, Rousey/Angle, Bryan, Nia Jax, Strowman all win. I'll be shocked.

  19. obvious outcomes this year only seem to be the mixed tag match, Reigns, Asuka, Braun Strowman, and the Daniel Bryan match. we know the titles are gonna change hands in the IC and US belt matches but no idea who it'll go to. if anything I think this is one of the more unpredictable Manias so far

if you're going to pick a swerve i just don't think you should do it with the biggest lock on the show. asuka is NOT losing. they've invested three years into this and are about to do another full one.

brock winning or roman losing dirty is more likely than asuka pinning or tapping imo. hunter pinning kurt is a dumb swerve that just might happen. aj retaining even though he's injured is another.

i believe domo is actually thinking of wm32, which was TERRIBLE. and had some of the worst surprise booking in the last i dont know how long

  21. well yeah WM32 was the fucking drizzly shits

  22. domotime2

    Great Googly Moogly Supporter

32 and 33 were both awful...awful. But there SHOULD be a swerve somewhere in there. I have no problem with anyone losing honestly. I think any outcome could work.

  23. 33 wasn't bad - not nearly as poor as 32. the issue is the show is just too fucking long because 33 started on fire with the AJ/Shane match, KO-Jericho, the women's fatal four way, and the tag team ladder match. it feel apart after the stupid Bray Wyatt-Randy Orton match

i think you're giving 33 too much credit. KO-Jericho and the return of the Hardys, literally, the only two things i take away from last years mania.

I'll take Reigns winning the WWE title from Triple H over reigns..the non champ.. beating Taker (for the 2nd time at mania)..for what now ends up NOT being his last match. The 2nd half of last years mania was forgetful and a waste of time.

but regardless.... my point is i think mania SHOULD throw in a swerve here and there, even if it pisses some people off.

  25. I mean I disagree - WM31 was a great show but it also helped that it wasn't 20 hours long like 32 and 33

the only bad or forgettable moments from 33 were the Reigns/Taker match, Orton/Wyatt, and the women's smackdown title match

    everything else was pretty enjoyable
