Wilshire doesn't really play football, they just let him hang out with the team and smoke cigs.

I think Arsenal's midfield is gonna be thinned out a little this offseason.

    Well I mean he's a replacement for Arteta/Flamini

I mean I didn't want to wish Coyle on anybody, but I was really hoping he'd get the Celtic job

David Ginola went into cardiac arrest playing a game of ball yesterday and had a quadruple bypass. he's awake and doing well now. Had the surgery before infarction.

That's a bizarre situation. He tweeted to say he'd fainted and was in hospital for checks and now he's had a quadruple bypass...

Funny that I genuinely forgot about Wilshire though. That's a cracking midfield to be fair if all are fit in firing. Best in the world I'd argue, by sheer quality of depth.

that doesn't sniff best midfield in the world.

I'd say Barca, Madrid, Bayern, and maybe Juventus have better midfields. But they'd be my top five teams. Though, Atletico and Chelsea (when fit and firing) would be in the mix, too.

Chelsea's midfield isn't that great imo

Yeah Arsenal's midfield isn't close to best in the world.

  13. All the rumor sites claiming Son is on his way out. I hope that's just hot garbage being spewed out. He deserves at least another season with Spurs.

Barcelona, Madrid, Atletico, Bayern & Juventus are probably the only teams with a definitely better midfield.

Definitely not the best, but it's very high up there and I'd argue easily the strongest in England right now.

Also, very excited for Xhaka. Gives us lots of options.

Cazorla/Wilshere and him would be a brilliant partnership. Elneny & Ramsey would be able to slot in, with Coquelin partnering Xhaka in games where we need to play more defensively or just expect more of a battle.

Pure bollocks that Arsenal's midfield is best in the world.

I'm with @SamLevi11 that they're the best midfield in England, though. I think y'all are forgetting the caveat in this whole discussion was "when fit and firing."

    @robbieberns Prestigious

Yeah, meant to specify one of the best. Top 5, certainly tops in England. PSG is another up there I haven't seen mentioned.

I think it's easy to forget about teams like PSG/Lyon/Benfica/Sporting because they play in less reputable leagues, but they're strong teams.

I'm sorry that you have to experience him

So happy I won't have to listen to him saying Glasgow Celtic Football Club in every press conference like he used to do with Bolton Wanderers Football Club

Everyone looking forward to the final today? Be very interesting this next week, depending on the result, to see what happens with Van Gaal

I'd like to see Palace win this, even if that walking ego Pardew is in charge. It's hard to see it happening though, given that Palace have been so poor since Christmas. Likelihood it's a drab final, as it suffocates under LvG?

So Benfica are signing Andre Carillo for free from Sporting Clube next month, and have just agreed a deal to sell him to Atletico for €25 million. He won't even put on a Benfica shirt and he's making them 25m profit.
