The two that I mentioned seemed interesting enough. Then again I'm a sucker for the "group of people enter a haunted building and shit flies off the handle" type of movies.

Speaking of that, Grave Encounters is such a good time and easily the best fake documentary style of horror movie.

Why?

They've already explained that the Cloverfield series will be their version of the Twilight Zone

 

The problem I have is that Bad Robot is making movies with the word Cloverfield in the title and getting people all riled up expecting to see a prequel/sequel, then all of a sudden it's like oh hey this had nothing to do with anything!

The Twilight Zone analogy makes no sense either. The twilight zone was a section of the universe where strange things happened...at least that's how it was explained.how does that translate into a made up word like "cloverfield"?

I guess I'm more annoyed by the naming of this anthology they want to create. Cloverfield isn't a thing, at least "the twilight zone" is a location.

I was kinda hoping for something along the lines of; The woman, Inside, Martyrs, or Rec.

Something that when I finish it I am literally speechless.

 

The Final Girls was one of my favorites from last year.

I haven't seen American Guinea Pig but I've seen the trailer and the final 10 seconds. There is one thing they do that I've never seen in a torture porn movie, and I don't know if that's really a good thing.

The final handful of seconds is downright fucking repulsive. There are a lot of implied things, but man oh man the implications being made.

 

The Final Girls is a lot of fun. It's not going to floor you.

 

Sorry, but I just don't buy it. JJ should have explained all of this BEFORE people were like hey man, where's Cloverfield?

Reminds me of M. Night saying he mean't for The Happening to be bad.

Proxy is great, one movie that actually frightened me.
