Picked up A Way Out today, excited to try it out

 

The most recent gameplay footage they showed looks a lot better than it's ever looked before. Less stiff, awkward animations, and it looks like they've pulled the camera out slightly when Kratos is in combat as opposed to free-roaming. I definitely feel more comfortable giving the game a chance now as opposed to when it was first announced and I was honestly repulsed by what they showed. Looks like all that development time really paid off.

 

yeah, the loss of ghibli collaborating with them makes some of the (still incredibly charming) game seem a little...maybe less lively, i suppose? i haven't seen a TON of the game (i like to keep on semi-blackouts for games i'm really looking forward to) but the overworld definitely seems like a step down from the first. tons of positive impressions of the battle system (i ended up hating the original's combat so a change is extremely welcome) and the kingdom building stuff pushed me into getting it immediately when i was going back and forth on whether to wait or not recently.

 

it was between this and Far Cry and Far Cry feels like more of a palate cleanser for me at the moment, been a long time since I played around with a sand box, but it was a hard choice haha

It would be cool to see the OG Xbox games get achievements.

Anyone wanna take some guesses? I'm assuming at least one Ubisoft game. If I were to take a bet, it'd be on Chaos Theory. It's already backwards compatible on the 360, so I think there's a good chance of it being on the list. I also wouldn't be surprised if Morrowind and Jade Empire show up.

I'm hoping for some Sega games though. It was weird not seeing a single Sega game in the first batch.

 

A Way Out is extremely mediocre. I’m about halfway through.

 

IGN and gamespots reviews of A Way Out seem like two different games, heh

 

Well I loved Brothers so I’ll wait for more reviews.

After hearing some of the details behind Ubi's new situation I have to say that whover made that happen is brilliant. It couldn't have turned out better really.

 

I’m probably gonna beat A Way Out tomorrow with my best friend, I’m a sucker for good co-op so I’ll probably love it.

 

looks like I won't be playing Ni no Kuni for a minute. lol. Not sure how it went from a dist center in NJ to CT when I live like 15 minutes from the dist center.

 

Snagged Journey for PS4, the Bloodborne DLC, and the Mass Effect trilogy off the PSN sale. Also downloaded Steamworld: Dig 1 on the Switch eShop. Good week.

 

sunset overdrive has an arrested development joke in it so it's basically the best game ever made.

 

Picked up The Witcher 3 on the cheap today to try and give it another go.

I played it when it originally came out and enjoyed it but I went to an area where I wasn’t a high enough level really early into my game. I then couldn’t work out how to get back and just gave up with it (as I had a load of other games on the go) and I eventually traded the game in.

Hopefully I’ll have better luck with it this time lol.

 

Just started my far cry 5 download. 28.82gb, will be fully downloaded and ready to play in 15 minutes if it weren't for the lock lol.

 

That's not even that big, I'm surprised

 

I’m absolutely LOVING Dishonored. It’s like a perfect mix of Assassin’s Creed, and Bioshock. I’m gonns see how long I can go without killing.

 

Just finished A Way Out. Playing a local co-op game like this with a buddy is literally always a good time, so I had fun with it, but the game is kind of bad lol.

 

Everything I've seen is roughly 2 hours. I'm gonna start it soon, after I finish my final playthrough of Hidden Agenda.
