Visiting home this weekend means i need to hide my weed and smoke secretly with my brother. My moms totally against the POTWEEDZ even though im almost 25 and live with my girlfriend in a state where its decriminalized. Anyone else here have to do damage control around family?

 

I speak nothing of the whole situation around them.

 

yeah it's ten for me and goes down if I buy in bulk (I think starting at a quarter?). I can't imagine my finances if I paid 40 bucks every time I picked up. I'd smoke less that's for sure

edit: yeah my dad found my pipe when I was a teenager once and that wasn't pretty so it's not a conversation I'll ever have

 

i never had an issue with price as long as i was getting what i paid for. $50 for an 8th, fine, but it better be 3.5g on the damn dot

fast forward a few years later and literally nothing happens when my brother gets caught

fast forward more and i'm gettin mom and dad high in the living room

 

fast forward even more and now they're all getting you high

My parents are pretty chill about weed since MA is a legal state now. I'll walk around the house with a rolled joint resting on my ear or bong in hand at this point. Though, from the time I started smoking in high school, up until I started medical last year, I kept everything extremely discrete to the point they never even knew I'd smoked until I told them I had a couple years ago. I've even casually asked them if they'd wanna smoke with me but they're still weird about it even though we're all adults. I guess its still taboo in their minds?

it was. it still is. i just have more of an issue with not getting what i pay for, ha

related, i cannot wait for the price drop to hit legal weed here. happened in the other big 3 states.

 

last Thanksgiving I went and smoked a j before dinner and my mom could smell it on me, she just shook her head and was like "I'm surrounded by potheads"

are you sure it was licensed? LA is having a huuuuge issue with unlicensed dispensaries and delivery services at the moment

 

My friend had been going there for a couple years, so I assume so? But maybe they didn't have the license for recreational users like me yet and got caught?

 

the latter is most likely what happened. every business needed to re-apply for a license. the state sent out about 900 cease and desist letters last month, even one to weedmaps because i guess they list a lot of illegal shops and stuff on their site (not their responsibility to police that though)

 

must be that. luckily the place at the end of my street got its rec license last week. just need to find the time to visit

 

My mom is well aware I smoke but we don’t talk about it because we have very different views on weed. When I go home, I’m def smoking but I do it outside so she doesn’t have to smell it. It’s worked out so far.

 

sooooo they aren't hiring in cultivation anymore but they have retail spots open. budtending, possibly delivery driving or fulfillment. my car is a 2002 hyundai with 170k+ miles on it, so i'm betting delivery's out, haha...i'm not really sure how i feel about a "retail" job even if budtending is like, super cool, because you get to show people all the different strains and help them figure out what might work best for them...i'm an introvert who soooort of hates people, so...

 

Some friends of mine and I all rented out a house for the weekend and we're gonna do shrooms. Very excited but also a lil nervous cuz its my first time

 

shrooms are very fun have fun is there anyone going to be sober? It's best that way but you should be okay. Shrooms I find it quite easy to navigate out of a "bad time" if you encounter it.
