Some people do. Like some people like having physical copies or collecting their favorite bands discography. Like I don't absolutely love the song, i just want everything they put out

 

This could have been five minutes of distorted guitar sounds and I'd have bought it on vinyl.

 

I hear ya. Singles or EP's on vinyl are a pain in the ass to actually play. You can't walk away for too long before action is required to change sides.

I'll probably never play it more than 5 times, but I do enjoy the artwork a lot so it might go on display in some fashion.

 

Especially if it's on the album. Once I have the album in hand, I won't spin just the single.

 

I bought it... And I sort of feel the same way. Hopefully there's a cool insert or something to help justify it

 

Lyrics etched in the back is pretty cool

 

I wouldn't mind owning that artwork, just saying. The song will hopefully get some meaning within more powerful material, but I'm trying not to hold my breath :)

 

Lyrics etched is cool for sure. Would have much preferred a slip of the lyrics and Mene on side B though. Especially as it's a 12".

 

Part of me hopes they throw Mene on the A side anyway. They've got plenty of space for it. Haha.

 

Honestly I'd rather have a recorded Sealed to Me at this point

 

It's just got to me it's being released on a 12", hmmm ;o

 

I'm still guessing that it'll be more than just "Nightmare" on the A-side, not sure what exactly (maybe "Mene" or one of the remastered Leaked Demos, or even the "prime" version of "Nobody Moves") but that's my best bet.

 

Or it is just Nightmare and I'll be like, "Well okay then."

Yeah my assumption is it'll be 45rpm and will just take up half of side A

 

I love this song. Been listening to it and Mene back to back since it came out, Mene is a lot better than I remember initially thinking. If it's on the new album I bet it'll be rerecorded, but it sounds so nice with I Am a Nightmare

 

Mene is great and I think it sounds even better live. I have a strange feeling this will be the case with I Am A Nightmare too.

 

Well I'd a gree, I started enjoying Mene much more after I had heard it live.. Still I won't admit it's up there with their best songs, and I doubt I'll feel that way with this one too.

 

If anything extra is on the single release I will be sad at myself

Work around iOS rules to get the files to play on my iPhone without any computer access.

 

I really want Mene, Sealed to Me and Nightmare to be included in their new album. Even if they are a bit different, they still feel like they could work well together and form a cohesive whole. And I don't like the idea of having singles that aren't part of an album, specially when it comes to Brand New.

 

Hopefully I can pick it up on their Canadian tour because I def don't dislike the song and the artwork is pretty sweet but the fact that it's only one song on a 12'' I couldn't justify getting this right away especially since shipping to Canada is $19.99 so $29.99 US is a little steep. I bought the single digitally for now at least. I won't hesitate getting anything else that is more than just a single though. I do own Sowing Season single and that one does include Coca Cola which is cool to have but yeah not a big fan of getting singles on vinyl in general since I never play them on their own just spin the lp instead.

I've been doing the same! Mene>>>>>Nightmare, but that doesn't mean I dislike Nightmare it just doesn't excite me. Mene however has gotten better the more I listen to it. I didn't play it much when I got it because I thought an album was gonna follow and didn't want to be sick of it by then but I think It may be 1 of my new favorite BN songs.
