Harden won’t get those calls in the playoffs

why wouldn’t he? he’s going to be mvp, is a top 3 player in the league on a team with the best record and is incredibly popular lol

Because he was the same exact player last year (top 2 MVP candidate top 3 West team) and didn’t get any calls

 

I think the difference was the way Pop had the Spurs defending him. They literally had their hands up at all times anytime anybody was anywhere near Harden. Against OKC in the first round he had games where he had 17, 18, and 20 attempts.

 

yeah he didn’t get calls against the spurs bc the spurs didn’t foul him lol.

and the story around him is entirely different this year than it’s ever been in the past.

Harden’s free throw rate doesn’t drop a lot in the playoffs. He essentially gets one less call a game, so I don’t know where that idea comes from.

 

The Jabari situation will be fascinating to watch unfold. He obviously isn’t accepting the QO, so it will be interesting to see what kind of offers he gets.

And then if he gets a fairly modest offer, do the Bucks match knowing of his (apparent) discontent?

i mean, i’ve said countless times jabari is my favorite player in the league, but keeping him with the contracts we have was never gonna happen, especially with kidd making matters worse with personality stuff. i kinda wish we would have traded him to get some value but it would have had to be for more than deandre fucking jordan lol. jabari will go get paid 20m by the bulls or someone and make me very happy

I have to imagine the first call Jabari’s agent makes is to the Nets. That just makes a lot of sense.

Despite his Chicago connection, I doubt the Bulls show any real interest. We have Laurie as our PF of the future and then Lopez, Portis, and Felicio on the books for next year. And the LaVine extension is going to have to get done. Jerry isn’t going to pay out two dudes with ACL histories in one offseason.

Next year for the Bulls is almost certainly another lottery year unless LaVine and Laurie make some improbable leaps.
