dawg I’m know I’m annoying but this is a tired insult - if I was gonna jump ship it would have happened weeks ago or months ago lol I obviously care a stupid amount about this team

 

i am thoroughly amazed the warriors are only down 8 at the half

would prefer the 8 seed at this point. team is much better suited against the raptors for a 7 game series than against the celtics, which would probably go 5 tops

No, Bill, I don't think that was ever going to happen. 2014 was the last vestiges of UConn before we ruined our program in favor of our awful football program. After that we had nothing left over from when basketball was the priority.

 

Listening to bill and ryens pod the other day and hearing them justify their privilege was great. Fuck em.

Idunno. It's mostly that we changed conferences and lose money on the sport that way less people here care about. Idk if we've ever sold out a football game. We lose money every year on bowl games because we have to sell tickets to people in CT for a very minor bowl game in Arizona or whatever. They never sell many of those

 

not to mention ollie is just flat out fucking bad. he’s been lifeless on the sidelines the last two years. he’s made the tournament once since the title year, when he won with leftover players from calhoun haha. it’s wild simmons appears to think he’s billy donovan.

 

Well it's also worth noting we've had 3+ starters out for the year each of the last two years

 

sure, but then also with recruiting, with exception of a weird 2016 year, he’s recruited in the 45-50 team ranking range when they were routinely top 25 with calhoun

not that it’s super fair to compare him to calhoun, but he had some pretty obvious flaws and has seemed generally checked out

 

a big part of those recruiting issues is our conference that we moved into for football though. no major new york prospects, where we've traditionally gotten our guys, wanna come here and travel to play in florida and houston.

This bums me out. I got playoff tickets for $30 at Pepsi Center last time they were in it. Dirt cheap to see top level basketball. Plus, they are a fun team.

 

Yeah i'm really hoping they make it cause playoff tickets are super cheap for them, they would in no way win the series but vs. Houston would be a fun/high scoring game

Last couple years it's astounding how flat they came out to start games and generally the whole first half. Definitely seemed to have trouble motivating for one flaw
