Just woke up to download this and put it on my phone for the work day and my internet is completely down. This is my nightmare.

 

Luckily, when you are able to listen, the album is a miracle

The article that came with the stream is one of the best pieces of music writing I've ever read. Strongly implore anyone with even a passing interest in the band to read it if you haven't The Hotelier Goodness Album Stream And Interview

 

About to press play on this for the first time.

 

Standing alone I don't think it would have worked, but with these particular 12 tracks it fits perfectly

 

I don't have issues with the content of the poem, but I don't like it opening the album or the delivery.

 

Fear of Good really makes me want more piano driven Hotelier, it's amazing

 

anyone else forget that there's one more track we're getting? the b-side of the goodness 7". probably an acoustic song though

also i was actually curious if you started the record with goodness pt 1, then went into the rest of the record, how the transition would be. anyone try that yet?

 

Had never heard any of the singles. "Home" is one of my favorite records ever despite not really enjoying anything else in the genre.

2 songs in and it's blowing me away. Love the poem, especially love Goodness Pt.2

 

I actually did that this morning, and I really liked how it transitioned. I'm going to do that when I burn a CD for my car.

 

I'd much prefer a Goodness 1/2 start and leave the poem out.

 

Just got on a bus to NYC and it's time to hit play!!! So glad the lyrics are on their Bandcamp.

 

i'm not about adjusting the artist's vision (unless there's a truly awful track), and i don't hate the poem, so we'll see. the pt 1/interlude/pt 2 start reminds me a lot of how TWIABP started harmlessness, actually.

just threw on harmlessness now and i don't think pt1/interlude/pt2 would carry the heft that the opening to that record has because you can't live there forever and january 10th,2014 are better songs than pt1/2 imo.

 

After not really caring about any albums from this scene for the entire calendar year of 2015, I'm pretty happy to say that I immediately love this.

 

On "Sun" right now and so far this album is as great as expected. Really glad they moved towards a more "positive" sound. It may sounds weird, but some of the more themes of love and happiness remind me of what I loved about INGO in the first place.

 

Did they send out dl codes if you pre ordered?

I guess I'm in the minority of loving Goodness pt.2? It might be a favorite track on here.

 

I fully intend to do this once I get my hands on a quality mp3 of that track.

My favorite song on the album. Quite easily actually, after 2 full listens.
