It's a one year deal so it's mostly whatever but yeah, that's a lot for him. They're basically betting on him being what he was when Luck was healthy. Which is reasonable-ish. The Colts had TY Hilton and shit for a QB for all of last season. If he matches his best season then we're golden. Problem is that's all volume based lol. He's still not very good.

Til you end up in the same situation next off-season of having shit for WRs, potentially losing another starter who you're unwilling to franchise, etc.

I get why players sign to the one-year deal...never understand why teams dont do the 2yr deal where year 2 is 120% of year 1 and contains like a roster bonus or extra $1mil in guaranteed to buy out the upside

 

Oh yeah I'm not thrilled with this WR situation. Caldwell has a horrible track record with receivers haha. Or who knows, maybe he's looking to buy low on OBJ coming off injury and a one year suspension ;)

I just wish someone would go get John Ross from Cincy. They aren't trading him but bringing back Marvin Lewis pretty much has doomed JRoss for at least one more year.
