Yea... most of the complaints that are thrown out there are really really stupid and don’t make sense.

Not to say the film is perfect, but at this point I just don’t care about anyone who hated. They can all go fuck themselves and never talk about SW again. They are an utter waste of time.

Most of them will ask insanely awful questions, someone will answer it, they disregard the answer and still just bitch. They are garbage people. They have nothing to contribute.

Aside from hating the diversity, the complaint that I don’t understand the most is about the Holdo maneuver - people being like “oh so why doesn’t everybody do this, that’s stupid”. Are you trying to tell me that if you ran a ship in light speed into another that that’s *not* what would happen?

I honestly can’t believe they left out some of those cut scenes. The one where Luke goes back to his hut and has a little moment about Han which then cuts to Leia would have been a much more powerful scene if kept in.

I feel like I somehow missed the crying deleted scene. Although, I did watch them all fairly late.

    Just rewatched the deleted scenes.

I did see the crying scene but I spaced on it. It was late haha I remember the start where he sees Rey through the door though.

Also, I noticed that Phasma lost her hand in the scene she was in. How very Star Wars haha

Really wish the caretaker party was in the movie.

The caretaker scene was great especially because it contained a scene that in the initial trailers i was really looking forward to seeing, and that was rey sprinting with the saber lit

Just rewatched this since my first time seeing it in theaters and I absolutely loved it! I was kinda meh the first time I watched it, but I don't know what the hell I was doing because I really, really enjoyed it this time. I guess I just had to watch it twice for it to really hit home.

Also I loved this stuff the first time, but all the Rey and Kylo scenes remain a huge standout for me. So, so frigging good. I am going to have to get a hold of these deleted scenes and the documentary.

Love hearing this. Reading the hate over this movie bums me out so its nice to hear this kind of stuff.

Haven't delved into this thread in awhile, but does the Blu-ray offer an option to watch the movie with the deleted scenes in it?

Watch the Director & The Jedi last night. Solid behind the scenes doc. It really brings to light just how difficult making one of these movies is from the perspective of scheduling and building sets. You'd think a $200 million budget would be plenty to work with but damn it seems so stressful.

Don’t have a link, but Rian said a while back that this wouldn’t be an option.

I'm sure there will be fan edits popping up soon with deleted scenes included.

I quite like this quote and it just demonstrates the amount of thought Rian has it into the film and Luke in particular:

"If you look at any classic hero's myth that is actually worth its salt, at the beginning of the hero's journey, like with King Arthur, he pulls the sword from the stone and he's ascendant — he has setbacks but he unites all the kingdoms," Johnson told the SXSW crowd.

"But then if you keep reading, when it deals with the hero's life as they get into middle-age and beyond, it always starts to get into darker places. And there’s a reason for that: It’s because myths are not made to sell action figures; myths are made to reflect the most difficult transitions we go through in life."

I haven't heard any complaints about the diversity in this film. I heard a lot when TFA was released but most of those who complained knew what they were going into this time.

I still sense some displeasure with the direction, but Im glad he regrets saying it.

Cant wait to finally get this on Blu Ray Tuesday and watch the Director and the Jedi and all the tasty features.

So he still is put off by the portrayal of Luke to an extent but he regrets saying it because it gives trolls ammunition.

A re-wording of his past statements basically. Poor Mark, he is being yanked from both sides.

The few ads I’ve seen for the home release have been very spoiler-heavy. Luke watching the double sunset, Luke telling Kylo that he won’t be the last Jedi, Yoda appearing on the island, and some other things I’d consider leaving out. I hope there aren’t too many people left that still have yet to see it that are running into these.

Honestly if anyone still hasn't seen it but heavily cares about spoilers it's kind of their fault

Is anyone else a little bummed there is no Prime option to get this on blu-ray nor was there an Amazon pre-order? I remember my TFA pre-order arriving on day of release so to have to pick this up at Target or something is going to feel so weird haha.
