Hey mostly Spencer is fine by me, he proved his stuff and as much as I love Aaron singing maybe that means he focuses more on drumming which would be pretty cool.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

Yeah, who would've thought Dallas would end up an amazing clean singer? His work on Tale of the Runaways is fucking amazing. First two Maylene albums are all you need though

Yeah I forget how good that song is. III does have Step Up on it though, and while cheesy, that is the perfect song to run to.

  14. It’s true - it’s also pretty good but it’s really different from Underoath of old

If this song really is the VERY accessible one I’m hoping it’s a jam, I’m down for a really catchy Underoath tune if it’s a good one.

    Underoath - No Fix Tour - Tickets - Georgia Theatre - Athens, GA - May 1st, 2018

Ticketfly has a good promo write-up on the band's info page talking about the new album.

"Assisted by Squire’s sonic psychology and enhanced with a wildly vivid mix from Ken Andrews (co-founder of acclaimed LA outfit Failure), Erase Me never equates getting older with being complacent. Right out of the gate, “It Has To Start Somewhere” burns like a rail dragster achieving top speed before hurling itself straight into the sun. “Wake Me” is almost pop that overshadows whatever manufactured nine-person co-writing session is currently being marketed on streaming-service playlists. “Rapture” feels like prog rock that traverses generations near and far, while Dudley’s electronics drive “No Frame” into universes unknown. Even the first single, “On My Teeth,” seemingly sends a warning to listeners to protect their necks. Underøath may have tempered the punishing riffage of their previous releases, but they doubled-down on the urgency, via every scream out of Chamberlain’s face, guitarist McTague’s sense of the appropriate and Gillespie’s frenetic thrashing of his kit. When considering the pretenders that came to fill the void during their absence, Erase Me inarguably proves that Underøath’s only true competition is themselves."

Would you guys say Rapture is one of the most different songs on the album, or pretty representative of the album as a whole?

  23. It contains a lot of the same elements on other songs on the record but it’s probably one of the least heaviest songs on it

The Radio 1 Rock Show is three hours, from noon to 3 PM PST... really hoping they play Rapture towards the beginning lol, I’m not planning to listen to the whole thing.
