Watching Friends and not only is it weird to me that Ross knows the date he first had sex with Carol, but that his little sister also knows???

 

their relationship is weird a bunch of times, they are way too close, I also can't imagine spending that much time with my sister and we have roughly the same age difference

 

Sometimes I forget they are siblings tbh. And I feel like Joey occasionally forgetting it too is an intentional nod lol. I'm close with my sisters but not that close, like in the ep where Monica and Rachel are arguing over who gets the condom like even knowing my sibling was having sex in the other room I'd be like ehhh not in the mood anymore haha

 

Wasn’t there a flashback episode of them in college and Ross and Monica kissed in a dark room at a party where Ross thought it was Rachel?

 

that was actually a really, really creepy scene all around -
Rachel got drunk at a party that Chandler and Ross were at, Chandler brought Rachel to his room and put her in his (or Ross's bed), Monica also got drunk and fell asleep in the room. Ross went to "check on" Rachel, which somehow ended up with him kissing who he thought was Rachel but was Monica.

ROSS: "You were my first kiss with Rachel?!?!"
MONICA: "You were my first kiss EVER?!?!?!?!"

like... wtf was Ross doing in that room and in a position to kiss a drunk, passed out Rachel. not cool and they pass it off as a joke / no big deal / hilarious hijinks of friends when really Ross was OBSESSED with Rachel, knew she was in the room by herself and "checking up on her" ends up with him in such close proximity to her face that they kiss. eeeeeesh.

 

Yep. I bring this up every time my wife rewatches. That scene and the scene when Rachel tells Phoebe and Monica about her first kiss with Ross. Just watch Monica's reaction.

It was creepy because Ross is like "I swear... for a second i felt her kiss back just a little." Like EW. Can't make it any more obv that it wasn't a romantic consensual thing if u have to be excited that they may have kissed back.

 

Can you imagine the uproar if that scene came out today...? Terrible. I’m glad we’ve moved forward and have a collective understanding that that should never be considered ok.

 

TBF he says in that scene he was trying to give her a goodnight kiss on the forehead.

Still creepy (I guess depending on how close they were at the time), but the intention was not to make out with her IIRC

 

Watching the show and this teacher of a private fancy school just straight up gave Ben over to Phoebe without even ID'ing her nnnnnn someone fire her and let me teach Sting's son

Moved my girlfriend in this weekend and all I could think of was "Pivoooooooooot... Pivooooooooooot".

 

I'm not looking forward to moving my couch and bed when I plan on getting a new place this summer

 

My building is rly old and the stairway is v narrow so I did the pivot thing to try and move a couch in but channeling my inner Ross did not work and it wouldn't fit. I pretty much can't have a couch bigger than a love seat and it's kind of annoying actually!

 

My Dad and I had to move something upstairs for my sister recently and I started yelling “pivot!”. That scene never gets old

 

Whenever I get rid of furniture or anything like that I've resorted to just throwing it over my balcony and then moving it wherever. I'm never taking shit down stairs anymore. I even live in a building with wide hallways and doors and it's still a pain in the ass.

 

They used the Ross goes to the airport to confess his love to a woman right before she board but she rejects him and gets on the plane, but then comes back to return his love plot TWICE

 

And Rachel went to the airport to confess her love for Ross but he came back with his new girlfriend Julie
