Chris is easily the best guy on this show

 

Gus' confession in front of his family actually did a lot for making me hate him less.

 

As did seeing his family dynamic in general. Definitely some insight as to where some his problematic personality traits came from.

 

yea, that ending for Gus was fantastic. Idk, i personally loved his arc

 

The confession was good and really added layers to Gus, I'm glad this season they focused on how fucked up he is as opposed to just Mickey

But her total switch from hate and anger to everything is fine was just too drastic to me, she could've stayed and they talk about it, but she just went from "i hate your guts" to "oh nvm I love you" and it felt off

 

I would be very interested in being able to hear a full album of Roger and the Eberts

Aint no way they end living happily ever after. Their whole conversation about how they are so happy that they cracked the code to a relationship and they don't understand how other couples can't be open with each other was so dumb and childish.

 

I don’t know but I think going from breaking up to marriage in a couple days is pretty healthy

 

Dang Gillian looks awesome in the Wedding episode. Go girl kill it

 

Omg Gus’ ”yeeeeahhh”...funniest moment this season this far

 

I don't know what my favorite bit of the season was, but I laughed out loud when Gus puked up the blue gatorade

 

Finished this yesterday, really great show. The whole don't hold your breath/I was worried cuz you almost had a drink thing really pissed me off. Literally reminds me of my situation with my parents where they're like "you can tell us anything", and I will, and then it gets used against me later on. fuuuuck that.

 

This show has had a very special place in my heart since it premiered and I loved the ending.

I like how uncertain it makes the future after the last scene seem, also liked how Gus doesn’t find out about Dustin, but Mickey does tell Bertie about it, which kind of resolves that thread in a way that feels very intentional to the themes of the show. It has always, in part, been about how perfect love is impossible, in both “healthy” and “unhealthy” relationships, and the fact that every single tension or potential issue between Gus and Mickey isn’t addressed feels right.

The way that Mickey immediately forgives Gus after he opens up to his family did feel a bit quick to me, but the more I thought about all that that action must have represented to her, I came around on it.

Favorite episodes were Bertie’s Birthday and the last two. Glad there was so much Randy in this season, #mitchy2spoonsnation

 

While I really enjoyed S3, it didn't hit me like the first two seasons. As a few others mentioned before S3 dropped, the other two seasons really spoke to me on a personal level because of my own relationship issues. It didn't feel the same for S3.

 

I didn't find it that odd that Mickey forgave Gus. His confession was very sincere and was huge for him- it showed how much he loves Mickey, enough to stand up to his family and say things he's always been terrified to. He even admitted that it was him who wasn't ready and that he was projecting his own craziness onto her. So, idk. It was a huge step for him, an apology to Mickey, and an acknowledgement that he really doesn't think she'd be a bad parent. He admits it's him who has the problem, not her. After Mickey seeing their fucked up family dynamic, I think it also gave her some sympathy and insight into why he is who he is.

Not saying it's a healthy relationship, though.

 

Gus's date with Bertie (was it season 1?) is still one of my favorite pieces of television, so fucking funny.

 

This had me dying. So damn unexpected

 

The music this season was so good. Bleachers, Chance, Wilco, and Avett Brothers scenes were so good.

 

I just finished it.

The end felt so anticlimactic, it made me a lot less sad that it's over in some weird way. I keep thinking about how the angle of Gus at the end was so unappealing for him. I will treasure the memory of this series forever and I'm genuinely bummed that it's over.

 

i'm 8 episodes in now, and this feels wayyy better than the two already fantastic existing seasons. Bertie's new wrestling guy is a refreshingly endearing take on the goofball that would just be a punchline in most other shows. what's the genreal consensus in here? good, bad, indifferent?

 

I thought it was the best season of the show, but the finale was a bit anticlimactic

 

Great season. Sad it’s over. This was a really good show.

I don't know how badly I'm gonna miss it, but it was mostly nice to have. I guess I enjoyed the final season more than the second one too

 

Half way through... someone give Claudia her own goddamn show!!!!!!
