Gotta say, I’m not a sports person and am not in touch with that stuff but I always think “sports anthem” when I hear something like Champion or Centuries. Incorrect as I may be.

 

I heard they say “lint licker” a whole bunch

 

I didn’t say “sports anthem.”

I’m done talking about an album if people aren’t gonna read what I actually say. It’s not fun when it becomes “but whatabout” and bad faith misreadings of what I actually wrote.

 

Tim got any juicy chops on this one?

 

My excitement for this album went way down after this

I like the saosin album but I don't think that's what underoath does best. Really bummed we won't be getting heavy, really metal stuff.

 

Yea I’m fine with a shift in sound as long as it’s done well. I don’t listen to bring me the horizon or any of that newer metalcore but I love both singers cleans so I’m sure I’ll find things to love here..


stuff like bmth has always bothered me bc it felt like a cheap rip off or what underoath used to do well... like the structure without the instrumental creativity.. like a cheap double bass breakdown instead of trying to write something rhythmically compelling.

 

i do not get greta van fleet at all and i generally love the bands they emulate lol

 

Yea, i too will miss their darker edgier type sound... that stuff has way more staying power for me. But I’ll keep faith until I hear this thing.

 

Greta Van Fleet is boneless Led Zeppelin

but seriously they're from Michigan and I still don't understand how they got this big

 

They're a pop band dude lol how is this even remotely hard to grasp
