Yeah, the larger amps are gonna have cheaper prices. St. Aug is a 4,000 seat venue with no lawn so it's gonna cost more. From the venue's site:

    $95.00 – Seated Pit and Level 100
    $90.00 – Level 200
    $83.00 – Level 300 and Obstructed View

I wonder if the other amps are gonna have seated pits as well.

Would love to see Paramore but Northerly on a Monday is tough. Wonder if there will be some Groupons.

In keeping with festivals with ridiculous bottom bill band names, I think Cumstain might be my new favorite!

Anything on a Vic Mensa headliner? I saw rumors that he would do a club tour in July but it wasn't exactly a credible source

Next Show - Foals April 22nd

The first round of bands for Osheaga came out at noon:

    • Odesza
    • Portugal the man
    • Alex Cameron
    • Smokepurpp
    • Sir Sly
    • Sylvan Esso
    • Rex Orange County
    • Manchester Orchestra
    • LP
There's more tomorrow and Sunday at noon. I'm pretty sold already strictly for MO and PTM to be honest.

I wish MO would stop only playing Osheaga. They haven't had a proper show in Montreal since 2011 when they opened for Blink, which I wouldn't even really count.

I don’t know if this is the right place to ask this but I’ve noticed with guitarists on stage they don’t have a cord with their guitar going to a amp. Instead it’s hooked up to something in their back pocket. Is that a wireless amp or PA system and I guess it helps them with mobility etc. And can anyone give me any tour tips ie what amps I should use to perform with ie buy my own or rent one from a venue for the night and just pay the fee?

That's a wireless pack. The end in their pocket sends a signal to a receiver (usually off-stage) that then can be connected to a normal amp. Until you're playing large stages it's generally unnecessary, although it is very helpful.

It's best you buy your own amp so you can use your own gear and get your own sound that's consistent and sounds good with all the other instruments.

  24. cricketandclover

    Things have changed.

Venues don’t rent amps. You need to buy your own gear.
