Q for everyone:


When in your life was the “prime of you’re music discovery? Or are you in it now? Does it have to end? Can there be more than one?

 

It never ends and there can be more than one. It changes with the year. You’re just in a rut man

 

College, and having a second one now with the advent of streaming.

 

I'd say about 15 or so but I'm trying to get back into it

 

I think I'm in mine now, since my mind is open to any genre and I'm interested in broadening my horizons and taking in as much music as possible. Everyone here is obsessed with music though, and I doubt that fades away. Even in ruts, that one album just needs to pull you out of it. My dad is 50 years old and is still SO excited when he discovers a band that hits him. Music discovery doesn't have to end or have a prime

 

The show is a no go. Don't ask why, it is what it is.

I found my gateway bands between the ages of 12-16 but I don't listen to many of them anymore, so I feel hesitant to call that time period my prime for music discovery! However, I did use music as "therapy" so I learned just how important music is to me

On a side note, I listened to the new Titus Andronicus album today. Anybody in here listen to that one? I still don’t know how I feel about it.

 

Get Up Kids are incredible.

I saw them on their “farewell” tour with Straylight Run and Lucero. Fantastic show!
