tbh don't even know what would be a great fit for them if you went with just active bands and grouping them together sonically. like probably empire! empire! (rip) and Foxing but p sure some variation of that has happened and not sure it makes as much sense sonically in 2018. which is why just tour with everyone haha

 

Foxing and PBTT would have been really great

Or someone like La Dispute or Touche obviously

 

Balance/Pianos would have been great but Balance broke up bc of course they did

 

I'm not even in love with TWIABP but this is an excellent billing

 

i've never understood people who thought TWIABP was bad live, even when they were in their most masturbatory live phase i was always stunned how they could make 9 people on stage sound so good

 

This is a great tour. I'll admit, I'm pretty hot and cold with TWIABP, but they are a good band and Pianos is the best band

 

I didn't think they were bad per se. They did their thing well enough, my friend was basically hypnotized. The songs just felt so fucking long

 

TWIABP are one of my favorite live bands tbh

 

i knew i liked you a lot for a reason

 

i have seen TWIABP 13 times and have never once gotten tired of seeing them live, not even after poet guy era

 

go to a deafheaven show for some long songs

 

i forgot if you were with me when i saw some of godspeed at pitchfork, but i didn't even realize they started their first song for like 5 minutes lol

 

Yeah we sat down the whole time it was honestly so sick and relaxing

 

The world is IS the best live band next to los campesinos , come at me .

 

p sure it was mladic, i just remember the fucking flames at the end of that first song i was blown away, wish i had stayed longer/paid attention more

best live band i’ve ever seen was EITS

 

From a strictly performance standpoint, Thrice are probably the best live band I've seen

 

I’m in the 10-11 range I think, probably should go back and reminisce about it. Their BWF16 set is one of my favorite memories of them. I was going to say a favorite memory overall, but looking back at the lineup shows so many shitty people in bands.

 

Probably not quite the best I’ve ever seen, but when I saw This Will Destroy You open for Deafheaven they absolutely blew me the fuck away, and I had no expectations going in. Everything sounded absolutely massive and pristine

 

Deafheaven has the best openers. I've seen them with pallbearer, tribulation, inter arma, and this will destroy you and every one of those shows was insane

 

Yeah it was unreal haha, Emma Ruth Rundle also was phenom

 

god that show was so good for so many reasons, jesus.

but yeah, i looked back at the broken world lineup recently and was fucking heartbroken with how many shitty people there were. like, at least four bands have done things from questionable to horrific
