    It's prolly my favourite.

Apparently Two Hearted on cask is one of the best beers a friend of mine has ever had (in his words) and still swears it to this day.

picked up Yellow Belly from Omnipollo, a little weird to buy a beer in that packaging, but I'm still excited to try it and I like the message behind it.

I heard this year's batch is better than last year's.

I am going dry from 3/1-4/7 for half marathon training, so I am living vacariously through all the posts.

I have a 2017 Goose Island BCBS and a Founders CBS in my cupboard. I've had both but which should I break edge with after my run?

    BCBS >>>>> CBS

I love CBS but I definitely agree. BCBS is in it's own league

Just to be contrarian, I'm gonna say the CBS.

Yeah I think I’m a Founders guy too. Every BCBS I have tastes better than the last, though

I always find it amusing that the tired hands logo seems like it should be more of a logo for wavy arms than tired hands.

I dunno if I already posted, but I was kinda bummed when I finally drank my CBS. The maple flavor was so wimpy, barely there. It was a great stout, but really just tasted like a stout with slight flavor

I loved CBS, but I agree that I wanted more maple from it.

It sounds like Stone has started distributing Cigar City in SoCal, what should I look out for? Will I actually enjoy Jai Alai?

Jai Alai is like a modern day Two Hearted, IMO. I think it's a fuckin' classic of an IPA.

Welllllllllllll I really don't care for Two Hearted, so I don't have high hopes haha. But if I see it somewhere, I'll give it a shot!

It's funny, I actually have thought about this a lot recently. I love HUGE, BOLD flavors when it comes to beer, that's just what I prefer. I think that's why The Bruery is my favorite brewery by a huge margin, they never shy away from their beer having distinct flavors and tasting exactly like how it's described.

I have had a TON of IPAs of all types, and honestly... I still put almost all of them in the same boat. I don't really care for intricacies or slight differences from IPA to IPA which is why different hop profiles honestly bore me, overall it's all basically the same to me. Of course some IPAs stand out, but it's usually the ones that step outside of the norm (120 minute, super juiced hazy IPAs), and normal IPAs just.... bore me I guess. Same thing with the majority of pales and ales.

That being said, I get why some people really enjoy that aspect of IPAs, the slight differences and the exploration of flavor profiles, but for me..... gimme that slap of flavor across my face, I want the weird shit that pushes bounderies

Yeah, we're completely opposite, haha. I actually think 120 minute is literally undrinkable and even when aged I think it's still literally undrinkable. It's a fuckin' crime against beer that it's released commercially. I find The Bruery to be just alright. A lot of what i've had from them (15 beers according to my check ins) are from 2016 or earlier and I rated a lot of them 4+ but I'd like to have those all again; I think I would like them less than I did the first go-round.

I love experiencing different hops. It's probably sad but I still think about this Belma hopped IPA i had at a small local place because it's the first time I've had Belma hops and they absolutely knocked my socks off. I find most beers that have tons of adjuncts or huge flavors are just messy, muddled and not well executed.

Interesting, though. Didn't know we were so far apart on things, @irthesteve. So, no, you won't like Jai Alai much haha.

At least we've overlapped on more than a few things @bigmike , but yes it seems we are looking for different things in our beer explorations haha

120 on tap is glorious. So is Bell’s Two Hearted though.

120 is one of my biggest beer disappointments. Thought it was terrible. World Wide Stout too, both are too boozy.

"too boozy" is a thing I don't really think much about anymore, 80% of the beers I have are over 10% ABV and many are 15 and up. I LOVE tasting the booze and sipping like a hard alcohol, my go-to drinks at home when I don't drink beer is whiskey or mezcal straight though, I'm cool with the booze

For me, it depends on how the boozy taste comes off. If it's a hoppy/bitter sort of boozy like in 120 Min IPA, I'm not a fan of that as it often tastes way too medicinal for me. If it's a heavier-bodied booziness like with a BBA beer, I usually love that.

I like it when it’s a whiskey/bourbon flavor. But 120 tastes like medicine because of how boozy it is.

120 minutes tastes like gasoline to me. I would rather drink any macro beer than a 120.
