I reread New Frontier over the past few days, and both losing Cooke and getting Batman v Superman is honestly so very depressing to me.

 

It's weird. The Army took a similar approach to their policies. It doesn't work. People who do bad things are always going to do them. Putting a rapist in a class and saying "don't rape" is not stopping anyone. The only thing these classes do is informs people on ways to report. When you show someone how to do that, but don't react when people actually do report, you are just enabling.

That's my two cents that doesn't help anything.

 

I think some article said Berganza had some sort of class he had to go to when this all went down years ago? So yeah, only having a class obviously isn't gonna cut it. Hopefully they establish clear rules of conduct, clearly communicate them, and then actually follow through. Editors who make women uncomfortable simply shouldn't have jobs anymore.

 

I think it's weird in this whole ordeal is the fact that DC is run by a women and she's seemingly okay with all of this. Dude should be fired if you want the company to be taken seriously.

 

DC Comics Unveils New Logo for "Rebirth" & Beyond



Step up from the last one for sure.

 

I enjoyed the last one but this one looks very "corporate" even moreso than the last.

 

I didn't have the same hate for the peeling logo as a lot of people, but it was pretty bad.

It's definitely time for a DC rebranding. Maybe Rebirth and the Suicide Squad film will restore some confidence in the company.

Yeah, I like the more modern take. It's what I wish the SS Joker looked like.

 

He has that gangster look like in SS but this version would definitely be cool on the big screen.

I keep saying I'll stop buying comics until I read the ones I have. Needless to say, I fail miserably at that and bought the first two volumes of Southern Bastards today. Also, my shop had the AMC special for Preacher as the free comic they toss in. Still need to finish Court of Owls first (and the whole Snyder run in general).

oh my god i haven't caught up since issue #20 welp i will try to do that this weekend, but this is good news and i'm glad people are enjoying it. i wish i could get more trades, but $$$

 

Are you reading digitally? I was confused at first because Legend of Wonder Woman will only be 9 issues in print, but then I remembered that the digital is being released faster in smaller increments (with multiple chapters per issue). lol.

That's probably the best way to get into it. The trades are so expensive.

This will be the first week in a looooonnnnnnggggg time I don't have an IST order. I think I'm basically good on all of the books I "had to read." Now I can just order as things come out.

 

I've only placed one IST order (for now). I don't prefer digital, but when it's more than half off, hard to say no haha.
