Can you confirm if it sounded like Sleepwave or....??

It did not! Was kind of heavy like somthing off their last two albums. Probably just dreaming about what I want to hear.

I'm sad to report that I had a dream that someone had a dream that they were talking to someone else who had a dream where their second cousin listened to the new Underoath record and it sounded just like Sleepwave.

I listened to sleepwave the other day and I didn’t hate it.. at all. I actually sort of liked it.

I think I subconsciously didn’t like it bc I knew it was happening instead of underoath ha

My friend’s brother’s best friend’s cousin told me he heard they were never really a Christian band and were just in it for the money. Fuckin’ sellouts.

The first 3 albums in my heavy rotation on Apple Music are underoath lol. Not Surprising.

Man, On My Teeth is one of my favorite UnderOath songs now. I'm really excited for the record. Been listening to TOCS, DTGL and LITSOS a lot lately. Never really listened to them past those albums.

Haha yeahh I just didn't have an interest without Aaron. I like a healthy mix of screaming and singing, and really liked what he added to the band. I'll have to give it a chance.

I didn't really listen to their albums before those three either. Heard some of The Changing of Times and wasn't into it.

they were way better without Aaron though

Haha I'm just not super into the heavier stuff. My favorite tracks are probably

    - A Fault Line. A Fault of Mine
    - Moving for the sake of motion
    - You're ever so inviting
    - Writing on the walls
    - I've got ten friends and a crowbar
    - A boy brushed in red

So definitely their stuff with more singing heh. My girlfriend's been playing a lot of hardcore, screaming-only music lately with the palm muting and double bass pedal so low and loud that you can barely make out the melody of it. Not my cup of tea lol

Moving for the sake of motion is super heavy though that's always been my favorite track not on disambiguation

And I mean you don't know if disambiguation is your cup of tea or not if you don't even listen to it. It's super unfair to ditch the band because Aaron left.

Hm I suppose that's fair, I guess the balance of Aaron's singing makes it more palatable for me. Does Spencer do a decent amount of singing in Disambiguation like he does in On My Teeth? If so I can totally get into that.

I don't see how it's unfair to not have a desire to listen to a band when your favorite member is no longer a part of it. I'll agree it's unfair of me to judge an album I haven't heard, though.

Because there are five other people who work hard to make music besides Aaron and there's no way Aaron was the only thing you liked about the band because you wouldn't listen to them if you only liked the voice of a guy who sang half the time or less

I also loved his drumming and, being a drummer at the time that I got into them as well as a singer, thought it was amazing he sang while playing. Followed him during his run in The Almost and watched any Paramore video with him I could find.

I also got into them in middle school and stopped listening by the time I was finishing high school so my opinions didn't really come from a place of maturity back then heh.

On another note, I forgot how much I liked their music videos. Writing on the Walls and You're Ever So Inviting were really weird, eery videos, but so interesting to watch.
