So I made a joke post about Slaves yesterday on Facebook, it started spreading and somehow the band’s ex-tour manager saw it and shared it basically saying “Say it to our faces if you want to talk shit”... A bunch of members of the band and their team proceeded to personally insult me and my appearance (because we’re in middle school apparently) and I got several threatening messages from obsessive Slaves fans. If I didn’t already think that band were assholes, well... haha

Did you screenshot the conversations/comments from the band? Submit that stuff on here, show everybody what scum they are.

Someone on the DGD subreddit is teasing a summer headlining tour with "one of the best bands in the genre. What I'd call a 'super group' ;)"

Isn't the tour with Underoath during the summer?

 

Sounds like Sianvar. I don't know if it's just me but I rather dgd tour with bands that are not "swancore" bands.

Yeah I'm guessing probably Sianvar. I kind of agree that I'd rather they tour with more diverse lineups, but at least the last few years have been an improvement over them being stuck on tours with shitty Risecore bands not that long ago.

 

Nah, Spring (April 20-May 26)

 

Definitely down to catch DGD a second time during a headlining show this summer. As long as it's not through Sound Rink. Eff that company.

 

Sound Rink typically only handles the presales/VIP, right? General tickets would be available through the venue’s usual source.

 

I heard DGD is doing a one off headliner in my area this spring, which I would 100% go to cause I never got into underoath. If the rumors are true I’d definitely see them twice in a year. I’ve done it before.

 

Even if you're not into Underoath, their live performance is what made them a big name band for me. On paper, they weren't for everyone and never really broke the mold they were in until LITSOS. I've seen them live 3 times and man do they deliver. Specifially Aaron with his eclectic fills and vocals, and Spencer as a frontman is grade A live performance gold.

 

Yes but I usually like to do the VIP experiences for them to help support. If that means just buying regular GA, then I guess I will.

 

What's wrong with Sound Rink?

 

Their refund policy is BS and then they refused to ship the items to me that came with my VIP package. Lost about $40.

I'm not the only one it happened to. Just really not nice people haven't talked with a couple employees on the phone and email interactions. Very unprofessional.

 

Dang that sucks. I've used them once or twice, but it wasn't for VIP so I had no issue. Good to know though for future reference.
