Ahh my bad

 

I can't stop singing the damn chorus. Went to the grocery store and was singing it the whole time in the store.

 

Caught my wife, not a Brand New fan, humming the tune of the chorus this afternoon.

Made me happy.

 

They had talked about purging/changing their merch site around Christmas when they had a sale (a Facebook post said "out with the old in with the new...soon"), so I wouldn't be surprised if they have some new merch other than the single coming soon.

 

Also, the single is PMT-007. So -003 and -005 are still blank.

 

I love the harmonies in the chorus of I Am a Nightmare. I wish they were louder!

 

Like many here, while I did initially enjoy the song, I was a bit taken aback by it. But after what, like 30 listens? I'm definitely digging it. I've been singing it all day and just enjoying it for what it is - a bloody catchy song by my favourite band.

 

I assumed 005 would be LP5!

 

That main riff is fun as hell to play on guitar.

 

I think the tracks fine. Like it more personally than the last single

I like the vocals and the overall tone/production

 

If I hear anymore negativity about the new single I am going to throw up snakes.

 

5 is probably "Mene," since that was listed as a PMT release. The one time I asked about what 3 was I got "it's traditionally a number" or something like that as a response (so, yeah, sometimes their camp are bigger dicks and more cryptic than I have long argued they're not, hahah. ).

I still can't figure out if "Throw up snakes" is meant to mean literally throw up the reptile snakes, or to roll snake eyes with the dice.

Are people still under the impression that at 2:00pm EST they'll announce an album? I'm a paranoid moron at the best of time and putting off sleep in case there's some midnight EST bombshell announcement and I'll be sleeping through it...which makes it like 4am here? I'm that sad I might set an alarm.

 

I mean a 2pm EST thing is fine, it'd be 7pm here. But midnight would kill my soul. I guess I'm being a prat but I'm so excited and nervous. Literally sound like a child.

 

Aha another UK person, was trying to work it out too, may set an alarm for like midnight EST, check if it's out, if not just go back to sleep :L

 

Pahaha, see you at 5am mate! Regrettably - off to sleep I gooooo.

 

The latter makes more sense, but I like the idea if puking snakes out and making them attack people who don't like the song.

 

just for fun / because im getting super excited to see them in a few weeks, i made a dream setlist of a Brand New show. i tried to balance my favorites, things they realistically will play every time, and a few songs they rarely play. Brand New is a hard band to do this for though, because honestly, i dont think i could see a setlist of theirs that i dont love:

I'd maybe throw in Soco or Play Crack the Sky somewhere, but totally respect the Daisy love in that setlist though!

Also Vices is literally the best opening song ever, one of my favourite ever Brand New tracks

 

It hurt not putting Play Crack in there... but i have been lucky enough to see both Soco and Play Crack as encore songs!
