some of the best times ive had at shows was skate and surf / bamboozle.

 

the final Skate & Surf was my best festival experience bar none. for some of the wrong reasons. but it was a beautiful disaster.

 

yeah that lineup was awesome. wonder what ever happened to John D haha

 

They literally do Punk Rock Bowling at the Summer Stage every year

 

That was my favorite weekend of my entire life. Just the best time with my best friends. Miss it.

I remember I was supposed to go to that skate and surf and then my friend gave my wristband to someone else, classic. That guy turned out to be a piece of shit, shocker.

i'm kind of bummed i never got to experience bamboozle before moving to NYC

 

He sold the rights to live nation, then was annoyed with the fact that he didn't get sole say of everything afterward. After some time he decided he would just never comply with them and never have boozle again. Not sure what skate and surfs situation is other than the issues he had with asbury.

 

Skate and Surf, the one and only time my heavy ass ever crowd surfed. I think John D was involved with gamechangerworld in howell nj for a hot minute but thats apparently closed/closing

 

Punk Rock Bowling in Asbury Park isn't happening this year. I think it's because of poor attendance from the last two events.

Punk rock bowling not doing well in Asbury is a bad sign for jersey shore punk festivals in the future

 

Last year was honestly just a glorified NOFX concert. Wasn't really anything appealing for many.

 

!! NOFX, Buzzcocks, Lifetime, Pietasters, Bigwig show should always do very well. and the other day was Specials, PUP, Dillinger Four.

I mean not sure what else you can ask for. And the ticket prices were peanuts.

I would've gone but i saw sooooooo many shows last year i had to cut back.

 

I went to the last 3 yrs of this & honestly had some of the most amazing times with great friends, bummed its still not a thing.
