Have also heard this rumor and I would be stoked. There have been a couple of reports about 311 being booked at very large venues this summer (20k capacities) when last year they were doing pretty solid at 5k venues.

I guess the connection is that both bands have been working so closely with Feldy that it just makes sense, but I think 311 has mentioned that this might be a co-headlining tour which leads most people to believe that it is NOT with blink... Blink can do venues that large on their own, so I just don't think it's realistic to think they would co-headline. But who knows.

 

A co-headline might make sense at this point, though. They aren't really promoting anything right now, so there's no real 'excitement' around the band. If that makes sense? Probably not, haha.

 

I can't for the life of me remember, but I thought either Mark or Travis hinted at smaller shows this year.

Maybe I'm getting it confused with "limited amount of shows" but I'm not sure. Either way, I guess we'll see, ha.

 

That might be true. I'm honestly just repeating what I've briefly seen mentioned, so I could be off. haha. This would be the first time in probably over two decades that 311 hasn't done a headlining tour so I'm really interested in seeing if it is true.

 

They were supposed to be full California shows last year.

Good call. I guess if anyone could do double duty, it would be Travis. But if they really toured together I would think that Goldfinger would just find a fill-in drummer.

311 is a step up from ADTR and All Time Low.

 

Time for Tom to come back and play some special shows. I miss his face in Blink. He can stay out of the writing process though.

I've been a 311 fan equally as long as blink. I came to terms with the fact that this band is polarizing a looooong time ago. haha. I don't even try arguing with people about them anymore, but if you're ever going to be swayed by them, it will be at their live show. It's always a blast.

 

Aaron Stern (formerly of Matchbook Romance and DRUGS) plays most of their shows.

 

Goldfinger, 311, and blink would be a great show. Haven't been into much of 311 at all post-Soundsystem but I'm all for that lineup

What is the source of the blink-182 / 311 / Goldfinger tour rumor?

 

I think it's just speculation which started in the 311 camp when it came out that they were headlining Feldy's festival. As I said before, they are apparently co-headlining or opening on their upcoming tour and are playing much larger venues. Blink has been the most prominent guess at the headliner because of the Feldy connection but I don't think there's anything really concrete.

the issue with a 311/Blink "co headline" tour, as evidenced by some comments in this thread, means a lot of Blink fans would just bail on a night 311 was headlining. hmm.

Also, as somebody else mentioned, 311 hasn't done a non-headline tour in A LONG TIME, so this is definitely interesting...

 

If it were to happen (which I don’t think it would), blink would absolutely close every night
