Actually correction to this statement, in a REALLY good mix, for rock and alternative music anyway, all elements are existing within the same space but you can pick out each individual element within that space. I love you honey bear by father John misty is one of the best albums to eximplify what I mean by this

 

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant! But articulated way better obviously. :) Like everything sounds very clear and like...there are...layers? Of sound? Like if a Nutty Buddy was music? Lol.

Edit: I guess I should add that I was listening to this album today. After many many more listens, I've really warmed up to the back half of it, where before I thought songs like "Oh Time" or "Same Stone" were more filler.

What a solid setlist they had tonight. Changed it up a bunch from when I saw them this summer and played a lot of songs off Two Worlds. Really cool seeing more bands come to NH.

I wish I could've made this. That venue is so sweet. I saw the Hotelier there last fall and had an awesome experience. Glad you had a good time!

Thanks! It really is a great venue and it’s a huge plus not having to drive to and from Boston. I’ve seen The Hotelier, Julien Baker, This Will Destroy You, and Tigers Jaw there and I don’t have a single complaint about the place.

just got into this band, they coming to my town in a few weeks. i own the album spin. Should i go? whats this band like? playing a tiny venue where i'm at

 

They’re a blast live and they tend to play long sets. I saw them this tour and they played about 22 songs. They usually play a good mix of songs from across their catalogue so you might want to check out their other records. I recommend going.

 

ok, ive been blown away. i just randomly picked up on them after i saw they had posted on balance and composures twitter. so i checked them out. so what happened, did a bunch of the members quit from tiger jaw? who is this wicca phase ?

 

Yeah Brianna and Ben are the only two original members left. Wicca Phase is the new-ish project from one of their old guitarists/singers.

 

Pat and Dennis are also in Three Man Cannon

So they're all still playing music, just unfortunately not together

Anyone who hasn't checked out Three Man Cannon yet should. There new song is very good

 

so can you name some songs i will hear at the concert for sure so i can go check them out. i have the album spin and charmer and havent' listened to charmer yet.

 

You can see their set lists at setlist.fm. Some might be a little inaccurate/out of order but they’ll give you a good sense of what to expect. They played 4 or 5 songs from spin last week if I’m remembering correctly.

Seeing them tomorrow, so I've been listening to the setlist all week. I wasn't huge on Two Worlds or Charmer, but Spin is a phenomenal album.
