Yeah, that was convincing. Whatever Roman did before cutting that promo worked. That was really good.

 

Brock Lesner has been a shit champion tho so I’d really root for anyone against him - he’s devalued the universal belt to the point that the IC belt is more coveted

 

There's at least four prototypical, generic WWE storylines I would have figured they'd go with before playing the card they did tonight.

1.) "I'm the Big Dawg and I'll prove once and for all this is my yard!"
2.) "Brock Lesnar is actually afraid of ME!"
3.) "This is a long-time in the making, ever since Seth Rollins stole my opportunity."
4.) "I know he's unstoppable. I know I'm the underdog, but I'm never gonna quit cause I don't know how!"

 

God we are doing this shit again but making it even longer

I wonder if WWE inserted the lines about Roman "shooting" and going off script and getting his ass chewed out to play to the smart marks who refuse to cheer him. Still though, odd that Brock didn't show up. Wonder if there was some dispute over negotiations. Wouldn't be the first time
