    Things have changed.

Ram's Head mostly sucks because the cell service is terrible — or even nonexistent.

I feel like they've been in and out of it over time. When Jonny was in the band they were total scene-emo kids, then when they started being more experimental they started falling out of it. But ever since Mothership they've been more involved.

But they're just a totally different band from so many bands in the scene just with how they present themselves. They dress like normal, dudes, just play music that isn't really confined to genre, and don't really over explain the meaning of their music like they're super meaningful. Their social media presence is literally just posting their own song lyrics.

They make music first and then are a band second, which is different from so many bands

Dude about 10-12 yrs ago there used to be this huge bald guy, nicknamed him king kong bundy, that would just destroy kids for absolutely no reason. Have not seen him in a long time tho.

i mean, i'll be at maryland deathfest in may. i know that's not your scene, but at least the power plant area will be filled with long-haired, tattoo-clad freaks dressed in black for one weekend. it'll be better than a dgd concert any day of the week.

That was kinda before my time being back in the area, but I remember having most of the staff being like that when I went to an Asking Alexandria show there like 5 yrs ago. I had just got done crowd surfing & before I could find my footing, security pushed the hell out of me to get out of the way.

I just don't know what makes Underoath's current tour so different from past tours they have done. There's some good ones and some bad ones. I saw them with The Devil Wears Prada, Saosin, and Person L one year. Person L literally got booed, but TDWP and Saosin were just as much "scene" bands as DGD and VoM are today. The only time I have seen Underoath play a show without "scene" bands was when they took out the instrumental band. I just don't know, I think the lineup makes sense, and DGD is just about the best band within their spectrum of music to tour with.

In another timeline, Underoath would bring Trophy Scars with them on tour.

Why in the actual blue fuck are Makeout touring with Icon For Hire and Courage My Love? That's the last band I'd expect IFH and CML to tour with.

I will agree that RHL is a weirdly shaped venue and the acoustics are only okay. I've seen about 3 shows there (Senses Fail, Thursday, Neck Deep).

My main gripe would be parking in Baltimore in general for shows fucking blows and i'd rather just go to Richmond or Charlotte. Granted both those cities are only a 2 and a half hour drive for me compared to Baltimore being about 5 but everytime I have gone for Baltomore for a show I have had a great experience outside of expensive parking.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

I just want to see Dashboard play the 2-3 songs I like by them and immediately run out of the venue. Their new record is just awful.

eh, at the very least there's a very easy parking lot near rams head/soundstage if you want to spend like ten bucks, and ottobar is the easiest place to park on the planet. better than finding parking in DC anywhere

I went to Ottobar for the Man Overboard farewell show in 2016 and by the time I got there the parking lot was full. I did do a show in DC once (Howard Theatre) and got a massive parking ticket for parking incorrectly behind a reserved spot on the street

Maybe I just have bad luck in these cities lol

ottobar has a ton of free street parking all around it.

fuck DC though, i found really nice parking a short walk away from u street that nobody knows about that i always use and rock and roll hotel has a CVS nearby that's never towed me at least

We went to see Bayside at the ottobar last year and neither of us were there before. Couldn't believe how much parking there was.
