I Want To Be Buried In Your Back Yard- One of my stand outs so far. Nice song, it’s catchy and I love love love the female backing vocals in this song they’re very noticeable and work well with his. The chorus is also very good, especially after the bridge

Ode to @Mr. Serotonin -
Decent track. This one kind of lost me a bit midway through but I do really enjoy the piano in the bridge that was cool. But this was the first ‘meh’ song

 

Marry Me- Very easy going music, I can dig it. It’s relaxing given the lyrical content too. Sweet little song I can dig it. You could say it’s....exactly what I wanted to hear

 

In The Bathroom I Where I Want You-
Wowwww what a song title. But this is a good song too. I like this one. The lyrical theme of it is s subject we’ve heard before but this is the most earnest way I’ve heard it put.

 

The Studded Cinctures- Not bad...but this was a kind of meh song after the string of stronger tracks through the album. I kind of zoned out during it. But that screech he did halfway through the song brought me back in the worst way possible

 

This is definitely a very, and openly, sexual album.

 

It is. But manages not to be gross about it

 

Heaven Runs On Oil- That intro.. kind of haunting but awesome. Again more female backing vocals that stand out which I like. And it has a groovy beat to it. You can bob your head along with it, and it has an almost jazz beat to it. The chorus is catchy too, which you know I am a sucker for. Good song and closer

 

End result: much much better! 7.5/10

Very sexually themed but not gross at all about it, with some very creative music and some good catchy songs. Not too many weak tracks on here and even those are good enough

 

PS: you guys are basically witnessing my CMCS process I do in word while I listen to the album 3-4 times through the week and take notes

Thursday- A City By The Light Divided

 

The Other Side Of The Crash- This opener fucking slaps. Damn that’s an energetic way to kick off an album. Thumbs up

 

Counting 54321- HELL YES. That’s all I can say. FUCKING HELL YES

 

Sugar in the Sacrament- Kinda lax compared to the past two songs to start but still damn good and it gets fiery toward the end. And that buildup bridge!!! Holy shit. That last minute and a half

 

At This Velocity- is every song going to just be me saying I like this song? Cause I like this song. It’s my least favorite so far but that isn’t saying much

 

We Will Overcome- I actually know this song. It was on a mix my older brother made for me back in the day. I didn’t know that was them though. Dig it

 

Oh yea that albums sooo good. One of my favorites

 

Arc Lamps, Signal Flares- I usually don’t like interludes but I did like this one for what it was

 

Running From The Rain- I did not like the 1 minute intro. But the awesomeness of this song after that more than made up for it. The lyrics are great and it makes you have this awe inspiring feeling. This is a moving song.

 

Telegraph Avenue Kiss- The first weak track on the album imo. It’s not bad I liked the lyrics but after the album until now it kind of fell flat here
